Leigh-Anne ft Ayra Starr - My Love • 2nd Single
People keep saying she should do promo like being on This Morning would make any difference. The reason the main promo is radio is to influence radio to play it, that would be the best chance of it becoming a hit (if it was a better song too).

Geri Halliwell-Horner | Rosie Frost & the Falcon Queen
The book feels like a massive Harry Potter rip off. Gave the two songs a listen and I think both highlight my issue with Geri's solo music as a whole. Beautiful life is a lovely song but her vocals are waffer thin and I cant help feeling pretty much every other singer would do the song more justice. Ghost in the house her vocals are layered and the more uptempo means her limitations aren't on show so much. Sadly Ghost in the house is a bit shit as a song. I think that is why only a few really good uptempo songs from Geri do it for me. Look at me is good example of that.

Spice Girls - Chart Runs & Sales Thread: UK
It was a basically like buying direct from the label but you had to buy so many. You paid a set amount each month and got to pick say 3 CDs and VHS from a glossy book of titles. You had to have them each month and if you didn't pick I seem to remember they just sent you whatever titles they wanted. So it might have been lets say £25 a month for 3 VHS or CDs which were well above £10 each at the time. It was cheaper as it was cutting out Asda or HMV the middle man that put their own profit on the cost of a CD. They were sent directly to your home via post so weren't scanned over a till and thus didn't count as a sale for the charts. It was very big in the US some US albums have a good couple of million extra sales on their certs from the time from it. No way of knowing how many sales were sold like that in the UK I believe apart from obviously the label getting a cert from shipment than actual over the counter sales.

Spice Girls • General Discussion
Kids wont be buying the book themselves, it will be the 35 to 40 year old parents making the decision to buy it or not.

Spice Girls • General Discussion
It will be the same as always, Geri thinks she is above the Spice Girls and has a bigger project and when it flops she will be sniffing round for another reunion. Since 2005 everything she has touched has been a total disaster and this book will be no different. She will get a sense of how unpopular she really is in the next few weeks.

When The Rain Comes - New Single
It was played on Gem radio's make it up as they go along chart this afternoon and it still sounded so muddy and awful especially on the chorus to me. I honestly have no idea what they are singing on the chorus as the music over powers them and is just so distracting.

Melanie C • Sporty's Fifty
She certainly has enough material/spice girls songs to not have any covers. The only acceptable cover would be would be 'I'm so excited' as a nod to where it all started.

Geri Halliwell-Horner | Rosie Frost & the Falcon Queen
The book could be amazing but I just cant get over the person she is now. Part of me wants to support her then she puts another super fake post on insta talking in some ridiculous accent and I just cringe and think no thank you.

When The Rain Comes - New Single
The production is awful on this, you can barely hear them on the chorus. The song is average but they can get away with that as they sound great together normally but the production doesn't even let that happen.

Spice Girls • Spotify / Apple Music / iTunes / YouTube
Christmas Wrapping already doing over 1.2k streams a day. If it stays with decent placement on big playlists it could very well be close to Holler/Goodbyes total streams.

Leigh-Anne ft Ayra Starr - My Love • 2nd Single
I don't think this is true at all. If you are following accounts likely to big the song up then sure but my timeline has zero mention of the song. I don't follow many/any Kylie stans but Padam Padam was inescapable at one point on my timeline. My Love has zero interest or hype from the general public or casuals at this point.

Streaming Services Chart Discussion
It took years for Spice Girls fans to argue over who was the bigger solo flop, the fact Little Mix fans are doing it after 3 solo singles in total is not a good sign things are going well.

Leigh-Anne ft Ayra Starr - My Love • 2nd Single
A reunion will always be there as an option so I doubt they will be in a rush to reunite. Leigh Anne's big problem is she just seems to be lacking something as a solo artist. The songs are just missing something extra to take them to another level so far. She feels very Mel B or Victoria in she adds nicely to a group and having smaller moments makes her shine more. A whole song just has moments it feels flat, like you want something more or different. DSL could really have done with a Mysteeq style rap that Alesha added to them. My love tries to do that with the feature but actually it kind of highlights Leigh-Anne's short comings as the feature is the best part.

Once it underperforms everyone will be saying it wasn't so good and DSL was better, especially if it say goes 23-68-out.

Spice Girls - Chart Runs & Sales Thread: UK
Spotify is American based in terms of popularity, loads of the big playlists are US based. It gets huge playlisting because of that. The worst example of US playlisting effecting the UK is at Xmas where random Christmas songs chart in the UK as they are by US artists on playlists created by US Spotify.

Leigh-Anne ft Ayra Starr - My Love • 2nd Single
The song is nowhere near as good as DSL and she has used up all thise curiosity plays on DSL. I'm not sure why so many think this is better than DSL, feels more people really wanting it to be and do better which I get.

PREDICT: Kylie Minogue - Tension (the album)
Drake is the same week? Karen at BMG is probably looking at a Dulex paint chart as we speak to come up with 4 more cassette colours to release midweek.
-
Claire Richards - 'Euphoria'
That is actually fairly decent sales for this type of release 2nd week. If she can keep promoting with more singles and a tour she could get herself to 20k.

Lisa Scott-Lee - 'Never or Now' (Unleashed Deluxe Edition)
Thing is which business is going to admit their downfalls? 'Pre-order this album on vinyl, we aren't sure of the release date as it will depend on demand'. That is a massive red flag and would put loads of people off and then the release wouldn't be viable. I mean major labels have huge delays on vinyls and releases, yes they are better at letting buyers know but then they have a big team to deal with letting customers know about delays. At the end of the day anyone can cancel their order if they aren't happy with Plastic pop.

Lisa Scott-Lee - 'Never or Now' (Unleashed Deluxe Edition)
Firstly you are rude and secondly I didn't say it was professional I said it was plastic pop or nothing. No one else was ever going to reissue this album, so shut up and accept it will be delayed as they are a tiny label who cant afford to make a loss or cancel your order then you wont have to accept anything. It isn't hard to realise plastic pop are releasing these albums on a very tight margin and yes delays are not great but the margins are so tight because they are releasing super niche albums that wont sell much at all. Or they could guess how many orders they would get make 600 copies too many, go bust and you get sod all (which is probably what you deserve).

Lisa Scott-Lee - 'Never or Now' (Unleashed Deluxe Edition)
This last few pages are a ride to read, like Lisa was getting offered anything by any other label to re-issue a flop album. It was plastic pop or nothing and I'm sure they went to her. Plastic pop works because they release titles that no other label in their right mind would bother to release, so for the very niche fans it is that or nothing. You all should be just thankful for plastic pop because delays or not you wouldn't be getting these releases any other way and of course they have to keep it all to a very tight budget and not have 500 copies of anything sat left unsold.

PREDICT: Kylie Minogue - Tension (the album)
Who buys 1 copy of anything anymore? To even get one copy you have to either go on Amazon, the artist webstore or go into HMV which is more effort than casually picking up an album while you do your Asda shopping which is where casual sales mostly came from. If you have a general interest in an artist but aren't a hardcore and under 50 you give something a few plays on Spotify.
-
PREDICT: Kylie Minogue - Tension (the album)
5k hardcore fans that have to buy everything. The rest are casuals that will give it a couple of streams release week. I swear people just become completely blind on here the moment one of buzzjacks fave pop girls releases. We all know how the album chart works now, multi format buying by hardcore fan bases and Kylie's are the most OTT. No one is casually buying albums anymore hence the massive drop offs from week 1. You only know you have appealed to the mass market and casuals if you get big streaming sales too and that gives albums longevity. The Spice girls sold 700k tickets to their 2019 UK tour, their 25th anniversary releases didn't sell 700k copies or even 10k. Selling concert tickets is to the casuals as well as hardcore fans. Music releases now especially physical is only to the hardcore.

PREDICT: Kylie Minogue - Tension (the album)
Her 5k fans will buy 10 copies each minimum so about 55k
