Emma Bunton - 'Free Me'
Highly doubt it, A girl like me was nothing to do with Emma, just Virgin (Universal now) making a quick buck on record store day. Emma didn't block it of course and was happy to promote it because why not it will make her a few quid too.

Geri Halliwell - 'Schizophonic'
Depth to me non of the Spice Girls have, which is why they are so much better as a band. They can all sing to a degree but non have depth or are versatile. They cant go from head voice to chest voice, or falsetto, virbratto or much up and down octaves. Those are the sorts of things that add depth and texture to songs. What you mean I think is they can add personality to songs.

Geri Halliwell - 'Schizophonic'
If you mean she goes in and out of tune then yes.

Your favourite Spice Girls music video
Because their team are absolutely awful, I'm sure they did it because of copywrite reasons. The insta post and tweet for the 30th anniversary of the 1st audition has also been removed because they didn't have clearance to use the audition footage. Spice girls net posted the pic from the launch of channel 5 recently and a few days later they stole it and posted it. Sad because we are talking about the biggest selling girl group ever not B*witched, the social media and everything put out should be top notch and owned by them.

Geri Halliwell - 'Schizophonic'
It has some good songs, it is creative, I enjoyed it as a child. As an adult her voice is just hard to listen to solo for a whole album as it is so thin lacks any depth.

Emma Bunton • General Discussion
Her voice would suit an orchestral Christmas album so well. As much as we would all love a brand new pop album a gorgeous Christmas album would suit her and her current image/life so much more.

Streaming Services Chart Discussion
Espresso is just a perfectly crafted pop song with a fun video and her selling it well. All Espresso tells me though is a lot of the releases from the big female artists this forum loves have been sub par lately. Espresso blows anything released by them recently out the water and rightly so. With the way the charts are now with multiple versions of physical albums and a zillion versions of tracks and 3 rip of single physicals, that many artists are just looking to squeeze and manipulate their fan base to get every drop out of them. When just making a great song would be enough and there is such a lack of effort to do that. Hence half the songs in the charts just sampling past hits, low effort where someone else has done the hard work to craft a good song that is just spruced up.

Spice Girls • All Released Songs, Rarities and Demos Lists
I think it is pretty obvious that we got Feed your love as it was almost a Mel B solo. Victoria and Geri were probably saying no left and right to anything were their vocals could be heard properly.

Wish I was a stan you guys are getting spoiled.

Spice Girls • Spotify / Apple Music / iTunes / YouTube
Stop just sounded very dated at the time given the influence and a bit safe, perfect for radio but not a rush and buy it to have it on repeat on cd type of song. That works in its favour now as it is a perfect song for some passive playlist streams (which is like today's radio play) and being dated means it doesn't sound 90s it sounds classic.

I don't know which playlist SYBT has been added to but it is doing about 85k streams a day now. Not conplaining, it used to be their 2nd biggest hit WW but has got overlooked recently.

Friday Chart Predictions
It does matter. Imagine Taylor released her album sales from her store in batches or by format week after week, she could be number 1 on the album chart from months on months. Whether it is to extend a chart run or to boost certain weeks, essentially holding a load of physical sales and releasing them when/if it suits is chart rigging.
-
Friday Chart Predictions
I personally would make the rule that labels have to release physicals on one specific week. This new trend (Perrie really is taking the biscuit) where they are dispatching them in batches to extend a chart run is just plain chart rigging. You wouldn't let an artist hold back streams to be added into a different week or downloads, so why are they allowing this with physicals. All formats must have the same release date.

Radical Optimism • Third Album
Are they really going to bother with another single? The album will get promo from Glastonbury and other festivals. It isn't going to be some massive streaming album that is obvious, nothing from the album has naturally took off like some album tracks do. They have also paid for 4 music videos so far (one was scrapped I believe). I'm sure they will move quickly to a deluxe end of year or new album next year and just let this do whatever else it does now without investing too much more money in it.

Favourite Spice Girls Lyric Video
The orchestral version is on cd 2 of Spice25 and after all these were done to sell Spice25 and Spiceworld25, that is why we have them. Youtube views for music have nosedived recently, so it will be interesting to see if we get anymore. I think SYBT and WDYTYA and SUYL are obvious missing classics. Christmas Wrapping is crying out for a cute one too.

Favourite Spice Girls Lyric Video
I think all are great, they have got them just right in terms of keeping the feel of the original video or song. I think Viva Forever is my favourite though. Viva Forever actually does really good views, it is the most viewed despite being the last to be released. It gets more views daily than the likes of Goodbye, Too Much, Holler actual music videos.

Spice Girls • Spotify / Apple Music / iTunes / YouTube
According to kworb SYBT is outstreaming SUYL by a fair amount in the last 7 days, not sure why.

Friday Chart Predictions
Dua Lipa's physicals will carry her to number 1, the problem will be the streaming isn't strong enough to stop it tumbling down the charts the next few weeks.

Leigh-Anne - Forbidden Fruit • 4th single (EP track)
Is she self funding these releases already because everything screams no budget and flying by the seat of her pants having no real idea what she is doing now?

Streaming Services Chart Discussion
Releasing three singles before the album killed any hype as they were just the same sort of dance/pop sound as she has always done and each was progressively worse than the last. There was no this sounds so different to what I expect from Dua Lipa I'm curious what the album sounds like. It was just more of the same. All big artists have to reinvent themselves and elvolve their sound to stay ahead of the game, which is what Dua hasn't done. I think there will be another album quickly after this one (summer 2025) to try and get things back on track. Even Rihanna popping out an album a year had to jump genres, do ballads, different looks, styles to keep ahead of the game and people interested.
-
Radical Optimism • Third Album
I think she killed excitement for the album by releasing 3 singles before it (which have generally been seen as progressively worse than the last) and the album only having 11 songs. The excitement has fizzled out and there is only 8 new songs to listen too. If you only like two of the three singles and think a couple of the album tracks are duds then you are basically down to an EP. The three singles haven't exactly thrown anything new into the mix too, like a 'oh this is a bit different from Dua, makes me excited to hear the album'. I'm sure it will do well but I think the era will be short as they try to course correct in 2025 with a new album of songs with more substance that are more experimental.

Solo Spice Careers - General Discussion
It was only this year I bothered to listen to the original Soul Boy, which is massively shit too. I cant believe anyone listened to it and thought this is ace it needs covering.

Emma Bunton - 'A Girl Like Me'
A lot of copies were sold online on the Monday to international fans who wont count towards the UK charts. Also not all records stores record and report sales. The one I got it from was using a calculator and pad of paper instead of any sort of till.
-
Geri Halliwell - 'Scream If You Wanna Go Faster'
Geri's version is decent, she has always sounded better in her lower register like Look at me and It's raining men. Which is why it is baffling in her later years she has insisted on singing in a higher register, especially as voices deepen with age too.

Emma Bunton - 'A Girl Like Me'
The UK had 1.1k copies made so that is good going.
