To potentially get longevity she would have to go completely left field and do something completely new that no one would think of when thinking of Melanie C. As much as most of her music isn't for me Kylie has had the balls to do that seemingly with her latest album. She was very much stuck in safe Kylie zone for the last few albums but the gamble is defo paying off with the change.

I don't think this is released properly. I'll be happily proven wrong but I think it will just be to download for free from a website than full on Streaming/itunes release. It is also obviously to sell more copies of the book. She knows there is a section of her fanbase who just want music so if buying a kids book is the way to get it then they probably will. I also don't think Geri would have any issue recording music with the Spice Girls, it would probably be top of her list of what she would do.

I'm not sure she has more fan support just that as time is going on record labels are getting better (maybe not the word I'm lucking for) at getting every last sale out of fans first week. Emma 'only' had 5 formats (non included any extra music), did no signings, non of those intimate shows where you get an album for like £2 with your ticket, no store extended download versions midweek, no big price reductions midweek.

Claire has a label behind her which makes a difference. However since Mel last released the multi format thing has gone to another level. The cheap multiple cassettes and signing everything. The midweek massive price cuts (though this might be more difficult for Mel as it is her own money). The store exclusive extended digital editions released midweek. There is defo more she can take advantage of now to get a higher chart position.

Her latest insta posts makes me think she will put a download code in the book to download a song/s.

When fan reviews are not as terrible as I thought you know really it is bad.

Lol I mean she always belts but that clip feels like someone is in the background turning up the volume on the backing track and she is getting louder and louder to the point of just shouting. This is one of those albums where someone has a good idea, a Claire disco album and zero effort is put in past that.

Mel's voice just doesn't suit most of the songs, the tracklisting is utterly random and there was that first cover that was relegated to digital release then silently dropped when everyone was like WTF. I'd say the worst Spice Girls related music release. Having said all that I totally get why she did it, with the theatre success she was getting and being on the judging pannel of that musical tv show. I don't really think her heart was really in it though and I bet she died a little inside flogging it on QVC.

Walk away is decent, the other two songs are a massive no.

Maybe because for the singles chart the Spanish version was combined but the download chart they counted as two seperate downloads and songs at the time?

Wouldn't the Welsh singles chart be made up of mainly downloads? We are at the point where less than 300k download singles are sold weekly throughout the UK. If you take England, Scotland and N Ireland out of that 290k surely wont leave much for Wales. So the songs charting there are probably 1 download.

Amazon seem to do this from time to time with it, then whack it back up to a normal sort of price. It is full price on the official store and HMV still. I think Amazon do this with a lot of older vinyls at times to tempted people to buy one then add another new vinyls to their order. So a regular £22 vinyl plus Wannabe now would be less than £29 for two vinyls, sounds like a total bargain.

Random album tracks that never chart go silver. Scraping to silver months or years down the line for her debut single is not a success in any way.

I'm so fascinated by the way this is being played out. They saved extra releases for a random week and not to soften the 2nd week fall or the week it rose in the 50s or the week after to try and keep it rising.

Has Shape of you never had any physical release? Seems like a cd single or 7 inch would sell very well like Ed always does.

Because as always Spiceboy just cant accept others opinions then gets arsey. Voodoo is endlessly positive about Melanie C but more power to them, you keep posting updates about her and enjoying what she does. I'd never say to them stop posting I'm bored of reading the same thing. I just don't respond or put my own opinion or don't read. I don't know how why it is so hard to just accept others opinions. We all like the girls or we wouldn't be here. Some will be positive some will be negative on subjects such is life. Spiceworld 25 has some who are endlessly negative about it but they are more than entitled to say so. I have no issue with anyone having any opinion but don't tell me what to post or not and everything will be just fine.

I'm on a forum and entitled to give my opinion as much as anyone else and you obviously care or you wouldn't respond. Don't like it block me, ignore me or do one. I honestly don't care which.
