  1. I'd love a proper split of Wannabe's sales now, CD, Cassette, Vinyl, download and streaming. Would be interesting to see.
  2. There are Forever album tracks still not over 1m listens....... Emma winning again.
  3. It is the full (as in dvd version) of Live in Istanbul.
  4. The biggest U turn on a song ever is IWC. I remember many Mel C fans were sure it was top 3 material with the film and video and Mel showing a more fun side with a fun song. Then it tanked and they hated it and it was the wrong song.
  5. After the album tanked in the UK and Better Alone was pulled her career as a major selling artist in the UK was over so why not at least try FDOML? It had a video, it was ready to go. If it flopped on its arse so be it, her last single she cancelled it as it was going to tank so hard it couldn't be worse than that.
  6. This is still exactly my opinion on it now.
  7. So she is touring WW and the poster I saw for her UK/Europw dates everything was sold out.
  8. The hype for this in this thread is #tumbleweed
  9. She is currently on a sold out arena tour.
  10. People are always a bit short sighted when it comes to a support act for the Spice Girls. Adding a band that you can see at car fest for £30 is pointless.
  11. I like that live version of Feel the sun (dodgy vocals aside) though maybe it is a bit too ITTY part 2. Still better than ITWM.
  12. Avril Lavigne fans have noticed and posted today that her official insta has followed all 5 Spice Girls and the official group insta. Would she make a better opening act than Jess Glynne (just me guessing have no info)?
  13. I don't think My strongest suit is materialistic it is basically a bit of a girl power anthem again in it tells women wear what you like, you look good. Plus I always assumed 'A dress has always been my strongest suit' is a play on women being strong as they are being women than trying to be a man or fit into a mans world.
  14. ITWM had a long chart run at the very lower end of the chart (same with Holler) which suggests at the time they were both overstocked and expected to sell more and spent a lot of weeks after release in the 'reduced bin' which obviously adds sales but probably at a loss at the time. That would suggest to me Virgin and record stores saw it as an under performance at the time too.
  15. Looking back now ITWM really bombed. I know the album had sold well by then but #18 was very very low. I always thought Be the one would have been the perfect final single.
  16. Yes but they weren't asking you to sign up in Sept '22
  17. The insta story was pushing signing up for emails today to get the latest news. When you sign up you get an email (it is the same sign up as before so you would need a new email address to sign up again) you get back a welcome on board email saying thank you for signing up to the Spice Girls email you will be kept up to date with all news, gig dates, tickets and merch. Just sayin'
  18. A lot of the album was very clearly knock offs of similar songs. Understand is very Coldplay, Carolyna is very Red hot chili peppers, The moment you believe is a knock off of FDOML, the song with Guy was very Robbie B-side. Non of the album screams Mel C as an artist just Mel C trying to get a hit.
  19. We love to entertain you is pants. Was Rock Me not part of TT too, another Mel C song I cant stand. This Time was probably the low point musically for me following Mel C (I'm pretending Stages doesn't exist).
  20. I'd take Already Gone and Fragile over all of This Time but then I don't like most of the album. Already Gone is brill though.
  21. She gave a time to announce a teaser of a video? That doesn't bode well for how this will pan out. Hardcore fans might get their knickers in a twist over an announcement of a teaser but everyone else will be like what is the point next.
  22. Whilst it is custom now for an artist to vanish for a couple of years after a 'flop' to get the comeback feel and tag. In the early 2000s the longer you were away the more forgotten and over you were. In hindsight after Scream underperformed she should have been out with the next album 6 months after calling or at least the first single with a new sound and catchy song.
  23. I've always just assumed she was controlled by him and those TV shows, judging slots, endorsements were easy money compared to music and that would be all he cared about. I'm sure Mel would have loved to explore music more. Now it just isn't viable as those offers to do music just aren't there anymore.
  24. If Ed was a female artist who buzzjack fawned over the narrative would be how well he is still doing 12? years into his career to be still getting number 1s and having the biggest selling album of the last 3 years. If you cant see that then that is only because your bias is blinding you.
  25. Because when Steps lastest single doesn't chart or their album leaves the chart after 2 weeks we don't have endless posts saying how they used to get top 5 single after top 5 single or their albums used to be in the chart for months so they are underperforming or flopping. Yet several posters in particular feel the need to constantly downplay anything Ed does or label him flopping the moment he isn't number 1 on every metric. I don't think you realise just how ridiculous you come across so often.
