Yeah it will be more Youtube vids (not that I'm complaining at that as SUYL alt and Too Much alt videos were great additions) and the usual merch. Hopefully they can be creative with merch but this is Universal so I wont hold my breath.

There will be stuff for Stop's anniversary of the release and Viva Forever.

Feel like Wannabe should be higher on Youtube tbh. It will lag years behind Spotify in hitting 1B.

If Geri had a personality anymore we might see her being funny and playful in interviews or in general but well she hasn't. It comes to something when Victoria comes across as more down to earth and real than Geri these days.

Which was unheard until it was included. I know the SW25 tracklist was lackluster (or worse) but honestly some of the suggestions to 'improve' it are laughable. Their joke of a b-side that no one listens to and is already on streaming would only make it worse.

Why? It is on streaming already and no one wants to listen to it.

It isn't the playlist isn't popular it is it changes depending on who is listening to it. Holler will be #1 on it for you but wont be on it or at #1 for most others. Some playlists are fixed in order and songs but many change depending on the listener.

GH are supposed to be cheap easy cash ins, problem for Mel C is she doesn't own the rights to 2 of her albums. There is 3 options, Virgin cooperate and let her use and include the songs of those 2 albums, she pays for the rights to use them or rerecords those Virgin songs. Option one Virgin probably think why bother, NS gets all the attention and streams as a whole album as it is, no point having the singles off it pushing a GH not NS. Options 2 and 3 cost money and defeat the point of a quick cash in GH.

It isn't being done by Universal or the Girls team. I think the rights are held by someone else in Australia and they are rereleasing it there, just it will be an import elsewhere too. Iirc Australia had a 20th anniversary rerelease too by the same people. Obviously shows what could be if Universal actually cared.

I think we all need to look at Wannabe differently, it getting less playlisting or exposure I don't think would mean the other songs getting more tbh. I think a lot of these playlists it would be Wannabe or nothing by the girls and that is it. Also obviously new music would garner interest in their whole discography, as new music would suck people into exploring their older albums not just think Spice Girls = Wannabe.

The multiple versions of SUYL and SW25 seem to certainly have helped it get to double plat quicker than expected. Hopefully not too long till SYBT joins it.

Feel like they could take advantage of 2 become 1 more than they do. Always have said it should have a Christmas mix released to sound more like a Christmas song. Streaming defo favours the more upbeat songs though when seeing 2 become 1 their highest ballad at 5!

Quality is subjective though. Some people would say the Spice Girls music is shit.

That would be equally awful and you would end up with a load of 8 minute songs. The main problem is the charts companies let streaming run away without getting proper control of it and now we are too far down the rabbit hole. There are so many areas where streams and how they are counted for the charts if we started from scratch now would almost certainly be different. Firstly allowing songs to endlessly earn 'sales' from streaming thus now most of the biggest selling songs ever are recent hits from the streaming era. Streams from playlists essentially deciding the singles chart these days. Album streams not being from people actually clicking on and playing the album and so on.
