358k. I'm hoping being in their top 10 till likely mid to late Jan will keep Christmas Wrapping ticking over some streams into the new year. Given it is a monthly rolling chart it should stick around in it till then.

Thank you for all the updates Jay. Today's update (so boxing day numbers) will be interesting to see how far Christmas Wrapping tumbles. Would be nice to see it pass 6m before it drops back out of their top 10 on Spotify. Either way it is well inside their top 20 most streams songs on Spotify now. Not far off top 15.

It is most defo on Universal. Last conversation I had things were actually very sour between the girls/their team and Universal now. The girls and team were not happy with the quality of SW25 and in particular the merch. I think even without knowing that you can see from the lack of individual promo on social media things are very different between Spice25 and SW25 on the girls behalf. They were all using their social media to promote Spice25 and had the vinyls on hand to promote, not with SW25. The lack of even restorying the Spiceworld movie post by the girls individually said everything, they are pretty handcuffed though with Universal having the rights to everything. The hope of the girls team and Universal working together is pretty dead again. So what is planned next year from the Spice Girls wont line up with Universal again like it didn't in 2018/19 the way it is going. I don't blame the girls this time as Universal have handled SW25 really badly. The Universal store and quality is pretty shocking. I have the stressball and it cant even be described as a stressball it is a hard oversized foam ball.

Honestly I'm done with them (Universal more). Universal got the rights to the movie from Paramount ages ago, before all the 25th anniversary stuff was happening. They have had so much time to sort a physical release and a streaming service deal. Both of which Paramount had, it used to be in print on a budget dvd and have a deal to be on Netflix. It seems all Universal want is to be able to use clips of it on social media. We were actually much better off with it with Paramount. At this point it feels like self sabotage everything Universal do.

No, Christmas day Christmas song streams go nuts for obvious reasons. Pretty much everywhere is shut so everyone is at home making their own entertainment which is TV or streaming Christmas songs.

452k streams for Christmas Wrapping yesterday. Could be looking at 600k+ for today if Christmas eve is anything to go by.

I think it is now the same as Spotify. Where as the Amazon prime is basically free streaming now, so a lower ratio and they throw in songs you haven't requested and Amazon music unlimited is paid for thus you don't get random songs and are at a higher ratio. That would explain Amazon's presence decreasing and a lot of their streams are now ratioed as 'free stream' so worth less towards the chart.

We wont even get Christmas days numbers till boxing day so we have plenty of big climbs to go. I think it will peak early Jan after the NYE playlists give Wannabe a big boost. I'd not be shocked if it peaks near 11m early Jan.

Weren't they given it last minute in 2000 as whoever was going to get it deopped out? Also they changed the name of it from something like 'lifetime achievement award' to 'outstanding contribution to music'.

Pretty sure Christmas pop is aimed at the US streamers. Spice circle and twitter have been noticing Christmas wrapping getting some US airplay in malls, on radio ect. I'd happily have it take off in the US the next few years.

Oh joy we will have Wham number 1 the week after Christmas again when no one is listening to the song anymore. Nothing has done more damage to the charts than Christmas playlists.

It is ok. I prefer Feed your love tbh. Just dumb that this stuff is sat in the vaults when it should be on streaming services gaining streams and money. A 'unreleased' or 'rarities' album is a no brainer, it costs nothing and no one expects it to be as good as Spice or Spiceworld.

He works in the industry, was at Universal not sure if he still is. He has access to everything, he is a Spice Girls fan.

Come on guys, get downloading. BBC radio 2 gave Christmas Wrapping another play this morning that is 4 times now this last couple of weeks that I'm aware of. Hopefully it is a sign of it growing and popularity.

Should be a nice little Christmas present for it to go over 10m on Christmas day.

That is such a tough question. I always used to think SYBT but really the no clips Too Much video is stunning. I love the new SUYL video. Holler still looks so slick and modern. Wannabe being 1 take and just so iconic. They really nailed their videos.

Defo. A limited coloured vinyl would do wonders.
