You better. I've enjoyed Christmas Wrapping doing well more than any Spice song for a long time. Probably because there is finally something different getting streams, attention and love for once than the same 10 singles.

You have to take some Spice fans and what they claim to have with a pinch of salt. When certain members of the Spice fandom go to ridiculous lengths to one up each other (who can meet the girls the most, get the most things signed, buy the most copies of a new album/book/etc) I have no doubt there would be plenty of lies too about what they have to make themselves even more important. Interestingly not only does the clip sound very clean, as in not recorded off a tape, it has also been taken down on twitter for copyright claims. Given whole songs and loads of snippets of unreleased songs are left to be heard on Youtube and elsewhere seems odd they would clamp down on a 3 second clip of C U Next Tuesday. Hopefully there is plans for it, they went taking down the live bootleg screen shows of SW98 before the SW25 release with live tracks from those shows and tour.

I'll be downloading Christmas Wrapping at midnight on Amazon for the download day (Fri 23rd Dec). Will do itunes on my bfs phone tomorrow evening. I know it wont do much but hey it is 99p and I do love those hags and it has been so nice seeing a different Spice Girls song do well. Speaking of Christmas Wrapping had its biggest streaming update today, it did over 220k streams yesterday. Looking good for 300k+ by Christmas.

Today it was #80 with 1,399 sales. Final chart tomorrow, end of chart week midnight tonight. I did a £3.99 Amazon download of Spiceworld today, hopefully to help it stay top 100.

Monthly listeners now 9,724,004 up nearly 84k in one day. 10m looking very likely maybe even before Christmas day.

Suprised Goodbye hasn't pushed Mama out of the top 10.

The George Michael tribute song, I forget its name now, was such a really weird angle to sell a song from. Yes they were friends (but hadn't seemed very close the last few years of his life) and just felt a bit forced.

It is also intresting just how much bigger NGUOTGT is than any other album track. I guess having an official video helps it as probably does Step to me having a lyric video. Which is why something like a lyric video or an uploaded official video in some way would help Christmas Wrapping.

Looking forward to 3 big certs next year. I'm confident we will get things from the girls even if only a documentary and other bits which should hopefully speed up some of these certs too.

That update just shows how big the streams for Christmas wrapping have been. Step to me is doing relatively well too. 19th most streamed song in that period with the 2 Christmas songs ahead of it. Out streaming some classic album tracks.

Oh if that is a few weeks out of date then with Goodbye actually 4k higher then SUYL must be less than 15k off double plat. Holler inching towards gold, we love to see it.

Jack replied to me it is midweek #29 (assuming he means today) with 1,141 sales. Happily surprised at that, should hopefully stay top 100.

When I saw that post I thought they are just taking the piss. A pointless Christmas related post that could have actually pushed Christmas Wrapping. Why is the social media so shit? They made a whole video of Posh smiling for 'world smile day' but cant throw something together for a song of theirs that is taking off. Make it make sense.

Emma is a very very rich woman she could easily take the hit on a couple of half sold tour dates. She would make plenty back on the merch (£5 for a candy cane that is a 20p candy cane on a piece of printed cardboard). She loves to perform and I'm sure was absolutely gutted to cancel shows. She will probably be the same in London as with Brighton, struggle through it but obviously know it is the last date so if she feels like shit after it Tuesday she can get back to bed.

Hooefully. It is noticeable how physical sales have completely collapsed as presents this Christmas. They probably had last year too just Ed, Adele and Abba masked the situation.

217k is massive it is ridiculous Universal are doing nothing to push this further. I cant remember figures from 2019 but I doubt any of their songs bar Wannabe has ever done 217k in a single day.
