It is hit and miss for me, sometimes my phone shows a notification for a Youtube video from them sometimes not. Bit annoying tbh.

Because it is 2022 and barely a song released now is over 3 minutes. Who is going to sit and listen to a 90 second intro to a song when the skip button is right there. It was sensible to shorten the audio version both for streaming and to fit more on the CD/vinyl. The HQ video looks great. I'll take anything uploaded online as I have moved away from listening to or watching anything unless it is via streaming.

The new Rihanna song is a massive grower, will be several weeks at number 1 in a few weeks time.

5th of March is closing it, Kylie is opening it a week earlier.

Still better than listing your top 5 Spice Girls songs and only remembering 4 of them.

Giving Oxygen a listen for the first time in a while, it really is a beautiful song and Emma sounds like an actual angel. If that drip noise wasn't there I'd be tempted to say it is a 9.5 song.

Happy we get the video uploaded. I have the Istanbul DVD but don't own a DVD player anymore so the more content online the better. I'd expect that is the same for most people these days.

Britney was defo offered it.

Festivals are so easy money, non of the expense of a tour and a big cheque and a shorter setlist. Wouldn't shock me if that would then be them ticking Australia off the list with this. Some festivals, few big stadium dates, light schedule but big gigs each time. If Simon Ellis is doing Emma's shows no doubt he would have been secured for this already too.

I wouldn't call that a storyline though, just a set up for the video. Nothing actually happens in the SUYL video in terms of any sort of plot.

Glastonbury with Victoria will be a moment, it will be another Olympics. They played the exact same game leading up to the Olympics 'love to do it haven't been asked'. You wont know until they want you to know and that defo wont be on some random chat show.

People keep saying there is a plot/storyline to the original, am I missing something? I've always seen the original as set in the future or another planet (hence hoverboards and spaceships) where they are on everything like they were/are in present day earth only the future is dark and bleak.

If you split Forever in terms of uptempo and ballads (and consider Weekend love a ballad or at least not umtempo) then LLLTW and IYWHSF are the only 2 songs making it from being split completely in half by tempo. It makes it harder for songs to shine to me if surrounded by similar tempo songs as you will inevitably compare them with each other. Holler/Tell me why, Get down with me/Wasting my time, Oxygen/Goodbye are all sonic partners to me and all next to each other on the tracklist so inevitably most people pick one over the other.

The order of the tracklist for Forever doesn't help it at all. It becomes ballad heavy at the end and Get down with me and Wasting my time sound very sonically similar to me so become 1 long song. Right back at ya feels like the obvious opener too. Right back at ya Weekend love LLLTW Holler Get down with me Oxygen IYWHSF Tell me why Time goes by Wasting my time Goodbye It always feels like IYWHSF is conpletely lost in a sea of ballads 2nd half of the album.

Why is that Willa Ford woman parodying Britney Spears voice? Having Britney sing like a toddler is bad enough. I wouldn't be shocked if Victoria heard it and decided she wanted that 'statement' song that she was more than just the quiet posh one.

Alternative, the original is just too dark to see any detail. The ideal would have been a mix of the two back in 1997 but happy we have both.

Whether she does or doesn't (I'm pretty convinced 5 will be at Glastonbury) you will never get confirmation on some random TV interview with her. If/when she ever returns they will want it to be a big shock announcement.

I prefer the 'Spice' without the black dots round it.

Whilst this is true their music was left to gather dust for years, even when they did the Olympics/Viva Forever musical so I am thankful for these anniversariy releaees at least getting those things right now. I am thankful we have all 4 albums on various vinyls now, new online content on streaming and Youtube. That was almost unthinkable in 2009-2018.

I know we moan about this campaign but things like getting Step to me on streaming, the lyric video, new SUYL video and high quality cover for Spiceworld the album do make it worthwhile. Those things will be there for years to come thankfully now.

Both timeless in their own way, still love both singles.

I hope it goes well, she has a habit of rushing into these things.

More like she would be mad to try and release anything now, songs take a few weeks to take off these days and in a few weeks Christmas songs will invade the charts. Not that I think she could get a hit now but the only people releasing over the next 2 months will be album sellers.
