  1. I used to be a fan of Little Mix (Jay can back up that I championed Move as a brilliant song on another forum when it came out and was being slated, it still is a great song). They lost me when they became very generic, stuff like Shout out could be anyone singing it. So I give them/their solo music a chance. Not that I have to justify myself to anyone. Especially someone who has just decided to attack my personality, when all I have done is comment on the music and roll out. You evidently cant handle other opinions (well ones you don't like any way), you have just demonstrated that very clearly. You enjoy the song I'm not stopping you, wont tell you you shouldn't post if every comment you make is gushing or blind stanning cus if that is what you want to do then great. At least I gave the song a chance which is more than 99% of the public will.
  2. Don't worry I just ignore posters like that who cant accept any constructive conversation. The song has even less idenitity than her first two singles, so the talk of depth and 'real' Leigh-Anne is a load of pish. Don't say love was a decent song, was missing her rapping a middle 8 to really lift it but her doing UK garage was a decent lane to go down, the female Craig David type. Warner will be parting company with her before long I'm sure.
  3. Mel B said in one interview that the project should have been out last year. Feel like the documentary was delayed as Geri didn't want it out close to her book (Mel B briefly unfollowed her on insta) and then this year for the 30th anniversary was settled on for the Christian scandal to blow up and delay it again. I'm sure Victoria was ready for it last year when she was in full Spice Girls mode on social media posting almost daily about them but has now defaulted to ignoring it all as things are messy. Mel B is probably still hoping for it to be released asap.
  4. Not mishandled at all. They have clearly paid for her to win awards and done deals with radio. She had 3 physicals for both singles and what look like expensive videos. The label did their part, the songs just weren't good enough

Music videos also help when promoting on TV shows. Most TV shows don't have performance slots but will play a 30 second clip before chatting to an artist.
  6. See when people say it doesn't matter where the songs chart or 11 and out of the charts in 6 weeks is a success, it isn't. The record industry is harsh. Record labels are not charities, if she is already putting her own money in and the label wont pay for a video it is already a mighty uphill battle, the negative press about her flopping wont help either.
  7. Ouch. We all know the real reason she is releasing an EP is because the record label don't see an album as viable right now. I'd imagine best case is something from the EP takes off an album is rushed out including it. More than likely the outcome will be with 7 released songs she is more likely to get booked for some festivals than she is with only 2 singles. From what I have read she has been super defensive of her solo music career on social media, which I think shows more she knows things aren't going as she or the label hoped.
  8. That works both ways though and we owe them nothing too. Like I love Mel B but I'm not buying her book.
  9. 3 piece Spice Girls could only work as MEM and they would need new music and to obviously understand that they wouldn't be playing stadiums (arenas of the right size in the right countries). It is very risky though and whilst I feel Emma and Mel B would take that risk I don't think Mel C would. I actually think Song for her is a good song (that could easily be improved with some tweaks). Sadly the two least talented members hold the band to ransome these days. I can see how talks/projects break down all the time though, like I'm sure Victoria would do Glasto she knows it is huge and a once in a life time thing but Geri would have zero control over a live performance where her lack of dance skills and weaker vocals are on show. Victoria wont take the time out to do a whole tour even if she wanted to as it is minimum 3 months commitment even a short tour. Mel C wont record new music unless all 5 are completely on board in writing, recording, concepts. I would have said never to this but I think Mel C would do it these days if they all pur their hearts in it. So the only thing that they might all agree on now is the documentary but I feel that has been pushed back whilst Geri/Christian saga continues as I cant imagine him not being in it and they would want to make absolutely sure it doesn't end up looking awful he is included if things get worse for him.

I'm sure there will be expanded editions down the line to get everyone to buy the vinyls/album again. Spice girls did the same, Spice, Spiceworld and Forever got basic vibyk releases before expanded editions, should Forever25 happen.
  11. Well they have a lot more posters than on here. Also I'm not 'hun' to you thank you.
  12. You obviously haven't read popjustice.
  13. Just heard this on the radio that line about I don't want my phone or whatever it is is absolutely awful. It completely took me out of the song.
  14. This is doing very well, #57 on cd/vinyl bestsellers list and #15 on Vinyl bestsellers now.
  15. Wait she waited all this time to release a Taylor Swift first album B-side. That is gonna do nothing on the charts.
  16. Seems a lot of people were waiting for this to come down in price to grab one. Now #81 on Amazon best sellers list and #21 on Vinyl bestsellers.
  17. I have no real idea how Geri's book sold but I don't think it was good sales in the UK. Geri seemed to cling to it making the New York times list but it was such a niche list 'hardback kids books'. I cant imagine many kids books are released as hardback. The Rosie Frost insta page hasn't posted since 20th Dec 2023, which if you think it is meant to be a series then you would think they would want to keep posting every now and then. There is also no pre-order up for a 2nd book despite it supposedly coming out this year. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rosie books are put on hold or it just gets shelved.
  18. I think I'm right in saying its sales have blown the other girls books out the water. It sold something like 12k the week it was on the Sunday times bestsellers list, while Emma and Mel C managed about 5k and Geri didn't make the list at all. The number of reviews for Mel B's book on Amazon absolutely dewarfs the others too.
  19. Obviously there is no real reason to get the new vinyl if you have the first baby pink one but if you don't have it then £10 for by miles the most beautiful spice girls related vinyl is a bargain. It really is beautiful packing, looks stunning when opening up the gatefold.
  20. 225 on Amazon bestsellers list, which is higher than Girls Aloud's vinyl released this week #oh #winning
  21. My happy smash
  22. No cheap CD will kill its release as I said. It will barely sell another copy rest of the week as people wont fork out 20 or 30 quid on a whim purchase.
  23. This is absolutely not true. The Wannabe vinyl was a big success (#1 on the vinyl singles chart and has charted for over a year in total). Spice re-entered the charts at #5 with its anniversary edition. The GH picture disc vinyl was #1 on the vinyl chart. I've spoken to someone connected to Universal and they just don't care about the Spice Girls for several reasons. Firstly they aren't signed so aren't a priority, secondly they are an anomoly in that their team have little to no interaction with the Universal team, it is a very odd set up. Thirdly with very little work the Spice Girls music earns good money any way through streaming. Wannabe did 620k streams Friday on Spotify alone. Spice and Wannabe are about as big as any UK 90s female artists stream full stop. If Spice Girls were with another label they would be getting loads more effort put in. Let's be real a Mama vinyl at Mother's day would sell a heck of a lot more than a Steps Deeper Shade of Blue vinyl but it is the latter being released.
