I think I'm right in saying its sales have blown the other girls books out the water. It sold something like 12k the week it was on the Sunday times bestsellers list, while Emma and Mel C managed about 5k and Geri didn't make the list at all. The number of reviews for Mel B's book on Amazon absolutely dewarfs the others too.

Obviously there is no real reason to get the new vinyl if you have the first baby pink one but if you don't have it then £10 for by miles the most beautiful spice girls related vinyl is a bargain. It really is beautiful packing, looks stunning when opening up the gatefold.

FACT.

No cheap CD will kill its release as I said. It will barely sell another copy rest of the week as people wont fork out 20 or 30 quid on a whim purchase.

This is absolutely not true. The Wannabe vinyl was a big success (#1 on the vinyl singles chart and has charted for over a year in total). Spice re-entered the charts at #5 with its anniversary edition. The GH picture disc vinyl was #1 on the vinyl chart. I've spoken to someone connected to Universal and they just don't care about the Spice Girls for several reasons. Firstly they aren't signed so aren't a priority, secondly they are an anomoly in that their team have little to no interaction with the Universal team, it is a very odd set up. Thirdly with very little work the Spice Girls music earns good money any way through streaming. Wannabe did 620k streams Friday on Spotify alone. Spice and Wannabe are about as big as any UK 90s female artists stream full stop. If Spice Girls were with another label they would be getting loads more effort put in. Let's be real a Mama vinyl at Mother's day would sell a heck of a lot more than a Steps Deeper Shade of Blue vinyl but it is the latter being released.

Always nice on Mother's day when Mama gets a big boost. Amazing that Universal are too lazy to take advantage. Imagine how well a 7 inch Mama vinyl would sell if put on pre-order in Jan to be released the Friday before Mothering Sunday. It could include a printed sheet with the lyrics on one side and a 'To......... Love always.......' on the other side where you could fill it in as a gift to your mother. A nice present idea, a Spice Girls fans collectors item too. No brainer.

That Mel B video still has the tiktok followers flying up it is at nearly 860k now. Will be nice when it passes 1m followers.

BMG to release a new shade of pink vinyl each year till it is certified silver.

It is #221 on Amazon bestsellers list. What has happened the last couple of years is labels/Amazon/HMV etc have pushed up the price of vinyl taking advantage of hardcore fans who pre-order and buy first week. Then a few months later they are reduced to between £12-£19 for most artists. Which is not far off where vinyl was price wise a few years ago on release week. It is a massive con.

Like Rosie Frost most people on Spice Circle seem to be buying it for collection purposes only. I haven't seen one topic about the actual content of the new chapters. It is no wonder they put zero effort into anything these days when the hardcore fans would buy anything.

I wouldn't read into this meaning they will keep going and record new music. They will have tour outfits, dance routines all sorted from the tour and only need to do a shorter set list for this. It is a nice cheque to add to the tour money for little to no prep or effort.

A few points, iirc the Spice Girls got the outstanding contribution to music award as someone pulled out who was going to get it (cant remember who it was). The Brits also used to have a rule where you had to perform part of a hit in the eligibilty period, hence the Spice Girls did Wannabe into WDYTYA in '97. Dua got the night off to a really flat start by singing a song most people don't care for or haven't heard much. Dance the night away would have got it off to a much better start. The silly really long catwalk stage design doesn't help anyone, it is too long. A normal stage with maybe a small catwalk or not at all with a proper pit of regular fans would bring more atmosphere. Also awards given out on the main stage too. The presenters going into the audience to annoy artists who clearly don't want to be involved in silly skits needs to stop too. It is painful. Don't nominate people in more than one category, Raye in R&B and pop makes no sense. Her speech for her R&B award she was saying how others fought for an R&B category to show it is worthy alone to then shove her in pop to to prop up another nomination was rubbish. There are plenty of pop artists to fill it. Kylie should have gotten her award after her performance. It was odd to have her get the award then have the presenters waffle for 3 minutes while she gets ready to perform. Have the global icon perform then someone walk on and hand them the award and let them thank everyone.

Kylie sounded very ropey but she has the hits and seems genuinely nice.

I feel like there should be a rule you can only be nominated in one genre, half the pop noms had been nominated in other genres already. Surely they can find enough artists to fill out each without repeating. Raye and Calvin for pop was just daft.

God this is awful all round, Dua doing a new song not a hit so started off dead as the audience didn't really know it. The presenting awful, horrible tacky things like doing shots. Tate whatever her name was absolutely awful. Raye talking about how she has been releasing music for 10 years winning best new artist. It is just so flat and bad. Raye winning everything because absolutely no one else bothered to turn up and they need an angle for the papers tomorrow.

The vinyls have done as well as I expected. I think they could have each been top 100 had they been released 1 at a time rather than all 3 albums at once as I'm sure most fans got 1 of each. I get the sense that Steps will keep milking their fans (in a good way as they provide the content to justify it) that they didn't need to space out the 3 albums any way. With a RSD vinyl coming already I don't think Steps fans will go the whole year without anything else to buy. I'm expecting a GH vinyl of some sort come the musical opening.

It is a pretty known thing that he started seeing Geri before he left his long term partner who he was having a child with. His parents didn't go to Geri and Christian's wedding as they didn't approve of what happened. Not that that is anything on Geri just that he has history. One of the whatsapps leaked reads very much like he had something with this woman too as she mentions boundaries changing. I think he almost certainly was seeing her either whilst he was with Geri or his previous partner too.
