Love this! Great to see Marina get some deserved recognition through CB after Froot and I'm A Ruin criminally slipping through the net.

Placed a £15 bet on this at odds of 20/1 for this year's Xmas #1 so hoping this does a Rockabye! kink.gif

I think you might be onto something. It's currently #1 on Shazam despite its low chart position.

I reckon that Shazam result plus the fact that it's the lead single for an album stuffed with hit singles, and is about to get a major label push, means it's looking pretty good right now.

I’m trying to give this a chance but it’s just not growing on me at all :/ I’ve adored every Clean Bandit single up until now but I don’t think I’ve listened to Baby all the way through without skipping about halfway through since it was released..

Marina sounds great and Luis isn’t too bad but I don’t think they compliment each other well, and there’s only so much that can be done production-wise to mix two very different artists together

I still think this is a shite Clean Bandit song, but as a song by itself it is pretty good. It grew on me.

Can anyone with more knowledge of the Shazam charts than me tell me how promising an indicator it is that Baby has been #1 on Shazam for the past four days.

Does it usually signify that a song is going to get a decent official chart placing? Or can it not always translate over?

It means nothing! A lot of new songs (some that don’t even go top 40) appear in the top 3 on Shazam.

I am so interested to see if this manages to break through in any countries other than the UK. It's not doing well on Spotify anywhere yet, but then a lot of countries are still heavily streaming Solo.

It's doing really well on radio airplay in lots of places... would be really interesting if it managed to break through in the US... the one chart that includes radio airplay.

Any thoughts?
