Loved all the twists and turns and big reveals in the play when we studied it last year for English GCSE so really excited to see a new version of it on our TV screens tonight, with David Thewlis too, yay!
Really lucky to have both this and Macbeth being newly adapted, Of Mice & Men next please to complete the trio of GCSE English Lit great stories. 8.30 tonight

oh this could be interesting, never saw a decent adaptation of the play when I was studying it for GCSE. I won't watch it live though obviously, X factor comes first!

I saw it on stage many years ago. Tonight's adaptation was very good with a particularly creepy performance from David Thewlis.

I enjoyed this version of the play. Definitely not 90 minutes wasted if anyone is considering watching it!

It was really good, except for the last few minutes, it kinda ruined the mystery of the Inspector for me, the way the book (and the first film version) ended was much
better and more mysterious. Other than that, I loved it. |

Just watched this on iPlayer with my mum and we both loved it. My mum's not seen it before but I studied the play at GCSE and, as far as I could tell, it was incredibly exact to the play (aside from Regina's point, although it didn't really ruin it for me) yet I still felt a great deal of suspense and eagerness to watch more despite already knowing what happened. The casting was spot on, aside I had envisioned Shelia with blonde hair, and acting all round was superb. I definitely concur that it's well worth the 90-minute watch!

Yes, it was done very well in the end and it is certainly well worth the watch. I found myself being reminded of GCSE throughout with certain quotes and events, with me half-interpreting stuff in my head.

I really enjoyed studying at school and all the character profiles and debates on who was most responsible for the girl's death and how they would have acted when the second inspector arrived, so I was recalling all that when watching and the scripts and acting and directing all captured that perfectly. |

Again I studied this at GCSE, so will be checking this out. I remember watching a very old looking I guess TV Movie version, I think it was a BBC version.
