I'm a sucker for this sort of warped electro sound, I instantly like it a lot! It's different for her lyrically in that it oozes self confidence and is not about heartbreak, sex or hedonism. I can't help but hear "I'm a call girl". I like the pace of this one I think! I'm not sure how long it'll be before her high vocals get to me though. |

Just listened to it and not getting the love on first listen? Very generic and not a patch on 'Talking Body'. This will need some serious promo to go anywhere as her fanbase don't seem to have given it a boost yet on iTunes

This took a couple of days for me as a bit of a slow burner but then it hit me like a train and won't stop It's so hypnotic and, well, cool sounding.

It seems to be winning round people over time. I am utterly obsessed with it, it's exactly how you describe it: hypnotic and just COOL. So excited for this era and her lady wood |

She's been on a very good run til now but this is easily her weakest single yet

I've gone on such a journey with this song, but now I've gone back to finding it a bit boring. I might agree it's her weakest single so far, in fact.

I'm not about to compare it to her back catalogue just yet as it's still too new, but it's certainly a welcome addition. I get why it wouldn't connect with people because the chorus is kind of the definition of underwhelming. Passionless, monotonous, subdued, repetitive. I'm completely hooked though.

I have to admit this hasn't held up as well for me on repeated listens, although it is good.
I can't hear the main hook as anything other than "I'm a call girl". |

tove has done the unthinkable and come back with a song so removed from her character/artist/way of being you don't know what to say. I lilke a tove lo that is open, honest, raw and very pop. I don't know why you'd want to launch a follow up album on the basis of being a 'cool girl' who is 'ice cold' and played over a "hypnotic beat".
it's lyrically trite, sonically lazy and a total disappointment. tove come back and give your fans what they want. boring music with boring vocals and a boring context do nothing for anyone. |

I can't remember the last time I liked something so much on the first listen but subsequently grew to immensely dislike it. It seriously grates on me now.

It doesn't grate me now, but it's gone from a 8.5/10 to about a 5/10 after a dozen listens. I expected to slowly be able to appreciate more layers of the production, but, it's a bit one sided. |
