In fairness though, much as the Thursday released bothered me none of her BMG singles that actually charted peaked in the first week anyway. I think they could've gotten top 40s for 'Say Something' and 'Magic' if they tried and a placement for 'A Second to Midnight' but what we've had this era more than makes up for any of that

If tge releases were handled better say something, and magic would have gone top 40 or very close.

Top 75 I'd say, (43 perhaps) although happy to be wrong and it does go top 40!

I keep thinking it could just miss out too especially as Christmas songs are already making the Top 40 Hopefully the drop a webstore exclusive download to secure a few extra sales. I’d rather it get to #51 than #41 tbh - so frustrating when artists just miss out |

Really?
If all orders gets shipped of the cassette and cd on the 10th and not some on the 8th Dec + if video comes out for streaming on Friday then a top 40 is a certainty and maybe pushing top 20. Could well be top 10 on first look. But needs the physicals to be all be released for this Friday and not bundled with the vinyls on 8th Dec |

I don’t think it’s a given - Christmas songs are already making the Top 40, streaming won’t be huge and unless we get a new download version/remix then it’ll be physicals only.

Streaming won't be great but it will definitely get some excellent video streams and even streaming on Apple/Spotify if will get 1000-2000. It will do just fine. Just needs physical cassette and CD to all count for the chart this week rather than 8th December. BMG could also easily release one remix or even an EP like
Hold On To Now Hold On To Now Las Vegas Live Hold on To Now Extended Hold On To Now Extended Club Mix If this song is very special to her then they will have a plan. |

I still think that Netflix Series The Residence has something to do with HOTN being performed, the video for the song etc....... I guess we will see once it has been released

Ive learned the hard way not to get any hopes for Hold on to now after it's initial release been such a disaster.

What a shame the song flopped! It's my favorite song on the album and way better than Padam (Which I still dislike).
Such a moment! |

Whatever they do with HOTN now it’s over - probably one of her worst handled single releases, no video, physicals spread out over multiple weeks, no promo etc., all off the back of 2 Top 20 singles.

It was probably gonna face an uphill battle being a post-album single, but the most they could have done is align all the physicals in one week before the Christmas songs started entering! I'm pretty sure it could have been in with a shout of top 40 around early November.

Yep I don't think it was ever going to be a hit but what if the video was from the Netflix series and because everything delayed they couldn't release it.
Who knows! Let's hope for more Kylie soon! |

I agree that, that would have been the perfect time for a consolidated release and it would have definitely have had a chance of coming near to the top 40. I think where i got caught (hopes too high) was they handled tension so well on the back of padam padam that i was convinced they would follow the same format to get a third top 40 but sadly i was very wrong, but leaving all that aside i still adore the song and am happy to have it,. |
