Last year's Champion Hurdle winner Annie Power will miss the Champion Hurdle due to a leg injury.

RIP Many Clouds who had to be put down after winning the Cotswold Chase at Cheltenham in a titanic battle with Thistlecrack
A great brave horse, Grand National winner of 2015. |

From what I saw, Empire of Dirt and Don Poll run a good trial for the Grand National.

Possibly yes, I would have said last year. My heart says yes but my head says no. Remarkable performance from him yesterday at Ascot.

Will be fun and interesting to do prognostications in some of the derbies again this year, as were done last horse racing season.....didn't do too badly, from what I recall....watch me do abysmally bad this year....

Gold Cup favourite Thistlecrack has been ruled out of the Gold Cup due to a slight tendon tear.
That's a real shame it would been a great battle between the Tizzard Three with him, Native River and the old favourite Cue Card. Get well soon Thistlecrack. |

Gutted about the news of Thistlecrack.
Faugheen, Annie Power, Don Cossack, Coneygree, Sprinter Sacre, Min are either been retired or out of the festival. Poor Vautour though back in November. |

They'll be for sure the next class of great champions this year at the Cheltenham Festival with potentially Douvan in the Champion Chase, Unoknowhatimeanharry in the Stayer's Hurdle and Native River in the Gold Cup.

Multiple Group 1 winner Sole Power has been retired at the age of 10. He was a good sprinter on his day, a good horse.

With 8 days to go until the four-day showcase begins.
Who will you be backing for the festival? A thread where you can post your tips, news and if you going to the event. |

Yes definitely all in for My Tent Or Yours in the Champion Hurdle
Think Viconte Du Noyer will run a big race at 33/1 in the Ultima Handicap Chase. |
