I signed up but you pay £5 or maybe $5 for each entry and they haven't explain how the points or whatever way the winner will be determined.

It sort of reminds me of the game they released on the old Playstation called Ultimate Popstar maker or something.

They have! Just click on the How To Play link I've yet to find it. QUOTE How do artists score points? Artists score points in a variety of ways, based on their chart activity and special bonus events. For a full breakdown of scoring, please see our 'How To Play' section. Where is the scoring to please? |

NME tried this years ago when fantasy football was really big. It didn't work then and it won't work now.

I've yet to find it. Where is the scoring to please? Let the home page load up. There will be a series of icons at the top left of the page. The first of these is a pair of headphones. Click on this and on the next page near the bottom it will say (below 3. Pay) Register Now Or click here for more detailed information on How To Play Click "here" |

Thanks Shaky Fan!
Somehow I just could see that QUOTE 2) Scoring Points
Your chosen artists score points for you in a number of ways. Familiarise yourself with this section, it’s not always the biggest acts which score the most points. Singles are scored according to the Top 40 weekly hit40uk singles chart and albums on the weekly Top 75 Official UK album chart. As a rule of thumb, the higher your chart position, the more points you score. hit40uk Singles Chart Scoring Artist Category Chart Position Points 5-Star #1 to #40 75 to 36 4-Star #1 to #40 150 to 72 i.e. 2 x multiplier 3-Star #1 to #40 225 to 108 i.e. 3 x multiplier 2-Star #1 to #40 300 to 144 i.e. 4 x multiplier 1-Star #1 to #40 375 to 180 i.e. 5 x multiplier Album Chart Scoring Artist Category Chart Position Points 5-Star #1 to #75 75 to 1 4-Star #1 to #75 150 to 2 i.e. 2 x multiplier 3-Star #1 to #75 225 to 3 i.e. 3 x multiplier 2-Star #1 to #75 300 to 4 i.e. 4 x multiplier 1-Star #1 to #75 375 to 5 i.e. 5 x multiplier Artists also score bonus points: Chart climbers – Score points for an impressive climb week on week up the chart: 15+ Chart position rise +40pts 10 to 14 Chart position rise +20pts Straight in at Number 1 – An entry at #1 earns you bonus points +100pts FMM Artist of The Week – Have you got our artist of the week in your selection? +100pts hit40uk Artist of The Week - Have you got the hit40uk artist of the week in your selection? +25pts Award winner – If any of your artists win music awards at this year's MTV Europe Music Awards, you win points +50pts Music sales – earn extra points for the number of album sales you make in a week: Sell 25k in a week +10pts Sell 50k in a week +15pts Sell 75k in a week +20pts Sell 100k in a week +30pts Sell 150k in a week +60pts TV show appearances – Win points for your stars appearing on The Album Chart Show +25pts per appearance Points are updated online every Sunday after 7pm (commencing Sunday, 5th November 2006). Points are summarised in your Manager's Office and a detailed breakdown of artist points are available in the 'Stats' section within the game. |

This looks quite good, most points for long stayers and good album sales.
Better to have a chart run 25-15-12-16-20-25-30-35-40-out then 1-7-18-34- out |
