This looks like it could be both the worst thing I have ever seen, but also the greatest
Why does Kong have Thanos' gauntlet?? I enjoyed Godzilla (2014), loved Kong: Skull Island but hated everything else. I need to see Monarch though, I've heard nothing but good things. I think this could be "switch you brain off and just enjoy the ride" kinda cheap, popcorn filler fun. |

It’s fully that
It’s fun, it’s fairly light, and it’s fun. If you like watching big ass monsters then this is the movie for you It’s maybe 35% Godzilla 65% Kong tbf. For the most part it’s Kong exploring deeper into his world and discovering things along with the humans, and the whole time above the surface it’s kinda “Godzilla is moving! Why?”. It’s Kong 2 but without being a standalone so there is repercussions for the events of his story and how that affects the other Kaiju. It’s almost at the point where Godzilla could’ve been any other monster and it would’ve ended the same. Two big bass are fighting to the death, they find a common enemy and take them down together, then they go their separate ways. The base story is the same as the last one. The actual lore is kinda cool I guess but it ventures a little too much into Planet Of The Apes at times, although Diddy Kong (or whatever his actual lore name is since it’s not mentioned in the movie) is really cute/cool to watch. Kong using Diddy Kong as a flail against other apes was a franchise highlight Mothra is as always a badass There’s a bit more of that “monster comedy” wherein they are huge freaking monsters just trying to kill each other by any primal means necessary. As with all of these movies the humans are kinda meh but it’s mostly made up by the fights This post has been edited by Dexton: 29th April 2024, 11:47 AM |
