I have to say, I'm not a big fan of the Big Weekend playlist disrupting the regular playlist (mostly because it makes it awkward to handle in my spreadsheet kink.gif) but it is what it is!

I'm surprised Coldplay haven't put out any new tracks from their new album yet. I thought they would given the golden opportunity to promo it at the Big Weekend and Glastonbury, though there's still a week left to put the lead single out in time for the Big Weekend I guess.

Yeh same here, although maybe its just a way of introducing themselves again, hope new music comes along soon though. We do have a busy market at the moment!

I do think this playlist is a bit silly - I know radio 1 isn’t all about following the charts but it is primarily a new music station and having 9 out of the current top 10 not getting played for the next 2 weeks is weird (especially as 2 of those, Post Malone and Tommy Richman haven’t even been playlisted yet and this week would have been the perfect opportunity to change that.) A very strange decision.

Interesting that they’ve switched the Becky Hill song. ‘Right Here’ is miles better than ‘Outside Of Love’ so hoping that carries over when the playlist goes back to normal.

Also, I won't be around next week so if there's a playlist update, could someone post it in my absence please? (although who knows, they might just stick with this one for the next 2 weeks)

not a song from 2008 being on the New Music playlist agh

could have at least playlisted his most recent single … from 2020 (so frustrating being a Prydz fan)

I assume Rag’s ‘Human’ will be replaced with his new single next week.

Well at least they haven't used this as an excuse to swiftly stop playing 'Dizzy' laugh.gif
