With the Tommy Richman song cracking the UK top 40 it gave me this idea - choose your favourite top 40 hits that share a title with an Oscar Best Picture winner!

Quite a few surprises here, the most common titles are Sunrise and From Here To Eternity with 3 appearances each and only one #1 single appears, courtesy of Little Mix. There was a top 40 called Sunrise for 3 years in a row!

(NB I've been pretty strict with exact titles with the exceptions of including/excluding 'The' from titles)

Spotlight by a mile. But I’m not familiar with the vast majority of those songs! Very good idea though, I’m surprised there’s so many

Modern Romance got my vote. A very varied selection of songs including many I don't know - gave the Giorgio Moroder one a play.

Voted for Vangelis, D:Ream (nice that one of their other hits apart from 'Things' gers a spotlight) and Birdy's 'Wings' (which has been used for a couple of films ('Labor Day', 'Winter's Tale)
