QUOTE(Bjork @ Apr 19 2024, 08:41 AM) *
but if you're on HH or NMF and click on the parent album the song is from, it takes you to the 16 track version

not sure what happened with the people that pre-saved? everyone knows?
cos I read she made a record of album pre-saves

I wish they swapped those songs that album taken from, and to direct it to the double album but I don’t think this will happen.

Will the first 16 tracks end up with two different versions for the Spotify chart as they're on technically different albums or will they end up combined?

They'll be combined on Spotify from Day 1. Could take a short while for Apple to combine them.

I guess having those 31 track albums is a great advantage for the US, and that's why they do it, cos everything counts there with no limit
but for the UK I reckon a 16-track album is better cos the streams of the extra tracks get lost for the charts

lol now I’m sure Fortnight won’t beat Too Sweet
There is not enough time in the world to listen to all of that, it will suffer from other great songs overwhelmingly it. Fine, it’s a win for the album and for us!

It’s a benefit all over the world apart from the UK, true…

Looks like Mr. Brightside won’t survive every day in the top 50 until December this year then

Imagine buying the vinyl and it doesn't have half of the songs tearsmile.gif
Maybe we should ask the Beyhive how to cope with that? Well, tbh, the 3am version of ‘Midnights’ didn’t get a vinyl release so… it’s nothing new for us.

Only listened to 'Fortnight' so far, it's nice but I'm not blown away. I really think it will outstream Hozier though!

also the best song from Midnights (You're losing me) never got into the vinyl either

agree it's all for breaking US records

too bad this will mean huge overall streams but lower individual streams so Fortnight won't get as high as it would have

Yes, Fortnight is the only loser of this situation, if the number 1 song in here would made 400-500K a day that would be enough, but...
Also I think MBOBHFT was a better first single.

What song is that, for those of us who haven't meticulously memorised every song title on her album yet?

'Fortnight' will not be suffering from the same thing as 'slut'. The video is out tonight (about midnight UK time I think?) so the video streams should be enough to keep it as the number 1 track from the album all week.

Oscar winning actress (and one of the best actresses we have today) Emma Stone has a hand in 'Florida!!!' *.*

Fortnight could well still get 1 a lot of variables can happen but my feeling says it’s in a fight with espresso for 2 and it will lose that fight

My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys

Sorry.

Anyway, as much is part 1 is amazing, and it is I swear. Part 2... Is something else. I mean it's like evermore in a way? a Career highlight and I don't know how to rank this thing... BTW, online you'll see most people agree of that.

ngl i'm amazed anyone has doubts about Taylor doing the chart double let alone being this adamant kink.gif her numbers are gonna be astronomical, wouldn't surprise me if Fortnight opens with like 1.5m or so

Currently listening and yep that's my standout track so far, definitely agree she should have gone with that as the single over 'Fortnight'!

I thought in the US it was 16 tracks for the album tracks and had been from the start? I’m probably wrong though, I do agree though there’s no need for it really.

Surprised at the double album but I thought she’d throw some new variant out midweek like she did with midnights to maximise the impact so this will certainly give this a huge boost. It’ll be interesting to see the streaming numbers tomorrow and how many get over the million mark as I suspect there will be a few and also how it holds up. I think she’s missed a trick though doing the double album now, she could have waited a couple of days and then given the whole album a boost but alas it’ll still be massive one way or another.
