In all honesty I wasn’t expecting to smash even though I knew she had few vocal fans (as votes suggested she got few high points) but I also didn’t think it was going to be bottom 5 lol. It was strong contest!!! I have to reconsider my French pop for next contest now…I might go for Retrønikkä next month and get another bottom placement lol. |

Brutalismus 3000 representing Bøtanikkä in BJSC 155!
For this edition we went with techno/punk music act from Berlin, comprising duo Brutalismus 3000 with their huge rough sounding song JE N'EXISTE PAS. It's been one of our biggest discoveries this year and our nation became addicted straight away. Enjoy it!!! |

Banshee is an artist I've discovered last year and I've been wanting to send her in two other occasions with different songs but always kept being replaced last minute. 'Heroine Dancer' by Vandal Moon representing Bøtanikkä in BJSC 158!
Vandal Moon is a cold wave, post-punk, goth band, formed in 2010, from Santa Cruz, California. Upon listening to 'Heroine Dancer' for the first time it brought me back to much different time of my life and the accompanying music video is so nostalgic that it gives me chills every time I listen/watch. I just had to send them to BJSC <3. I hope you enjoy it!!! |

Love to see Vandal Moon in BJSC - I discovered them from Cody sending them to UP a few years ago and have stanned basically all of their subsequent output, they did actually win UP so hope they should do well here too! (although I would say this song is a bit less 'accessible' so not gonna hold my breath for them to repeat that win)

This month we go Retrønikkä.
German dance project U96 represents our country in BJSC 159. Das Boot is their debut single from 1992 and it's their biggest hit to date. It spent whooping 13 weeks at #1 in Germany and it also became a number-one hit in Austria, Israel, Norway and Switzerland and entered the top 10 in Denmark, Finland, France, the Netherlands and Sweden. In the UK, it peaked at number 18 on the UK Singles Chart. Yes Club Bizarre is indeed where I got the name. If you remember back then one of my other option for naming contest was Bass, Beats & Melody as well, which is a song title of dance act Brooklyn Bounce and I did sent that to Club Bizarre 23 and to make it more interesting, Brooklyn Bounce did also their version of Club Bizarre |
