As much as I wanted Grace to win, you really can't begrudge Rak-Su. They were remarkably consistent throughout and produced bops week after week. Dimelo is a massive tune and I'm hyped to download it, so refreshing as a winning single! I'm confident Simon will sign Grace anyway and we'll have a single at the very least from her by this time next year.

Justice to see Rak-Su winning. Won my bet from the first live show.

Really pleased that Rak-Su took the crown! It's quite refreshing to have an X Factor winner's single of this ilk, 'Dimelo' has barely left my head since yesterday.

Am I the only one who feels like guest performances should be scrapped from the X Factor? I tune in to watch new up and coming musicians perform, not musicians who are established already, if I want to see those people perform I will search for their videos on YouTube. It just feels like they are trying to force certain musicians upon the audience. During tonight's grand final I purposely took a toilet break when P!nk & Little Mix were on stage and it was only because I was in the middle of having my dinner that I didn't manage to dodge Sam Smith's performance.

I agree - I have skipped every single last guest performer.

It's hardly forcing just because you don't like them laugh.gif Pink, Little Mix and as much as I despise him Sam Smith are three of the biggest acts in the world, why wuld they not book them? Especiall Little Mix being one of the sow's biggest success stories. Plus how else are they going to fill the time counting results etc? The big names like that are the ones bringing viewers in as well, I'm sure a lot of people who were uming and ahhing about whether to watch watched for them, and perhaps people who otherwise wouldn't watch at all. Its nonsensical to scrap guests laugh.gif

It's not even a case of liking or not liking the performers. To me it just feels like waste of time having guests perform and always has done throughout the years of X Factor/Britain's Got Talent. It's not as if they have to spend half an hour counting the votes, it's only 5 minutes plus an advert break most of the time. They could spend that time interviewing the contestants instead rather than recycling the same shit every year.

How is having the current biggest artists performing their current singles "recycling the same shit"? I don't understand this view at all.

With our lack of music shows nowadays, I look forward to some of the guest performances as they're the only chance we get to see some artists do huge performances of big tracks. Some of the X Factor guest performances have turned out to be some of my favourite ever, like Leona's Run for example.

It's certainly far more interesting than listening to another dull interview with contestants where they tell us how amazing the experience is and how grateful they are for the millionth time.

Having the same artists coming back year after year is recycling the same shit to me. At least if there must be guest performances why not have new artists who have never performed on the show before appear. That's why I didn't think it was a bad decision to have Simon Cowell's band PrettyMuch perform on the show because they are still trying to make a name for themselves unlike the other artists who are already well established.

Established artists get the show viewers though... in theory anyway, I believe this has been the lowest rated final in XF history but could've been worse if they didn't have Little Mix/P!nk/Sam Smith on.
