A Star Is Born Blu-Ray 1. Bumblebee 2. The Favourite 3. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 4. Aquaman 5. Ant-Man & The Wasp 6. Avengers: Infinity War 7. Mortal Engines 8. Bohemian Rhapsody 9. Black Panther 10. Thor: Ragnarok Movement returns to the top 10 after last week's stalemate and it's a good week for female-led films with all 3 new entries being so. Bumblebee tops the Favourite and lower-down Colette enters at #8. Robert Zemeckis has really lost it as his newest film enters all-the-way down at #78 under random films (Ravenswood Asylum & Hitman: Redemption: that I certainly hadn't heard about. I think Steve Carrell is never getting that Oscar. This post has been edited by LewisGT: 27th May 2019, 12:19 PM |

Aquaman 9. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 10. The Secret Life Of Pets Blu-Ray 1. Glass 2. Bumblebee 3. Mary Queen Of Scots 4. Captain America: Civil War 5. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 6. Aquaman 7. Bohemian Rhapsody 8. Ant-Man & The Wasp 9. Mortal Engines 10. Avengers: Infinity War One of my favourite films of the year, Glass, easily gets the #1. Solid opening for Mary Queen Of Scots at #3. I'm not quite sure how Lancaster Skies made the top 10 but it has at #6. A massive surprise hit in the US where it grossed almost the same as Glass, The Upside can't quite match it in the UK falling low at #20. People really want to watch Ted Bundy at the moment as a cheap 'Silence Of The Lambs-esque' film with him as the main character reaches the top 40. |

The Mule is also a massive hit for Clint Eastwood. Last year's Oscar contenders are starting to reach home video with Vice (#11) and Can You Ever Forgive Me (#26). |

16th June - 22nd June 2019
Combined DVD & Blu Ray 1. How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World 2. Stan & Ollie 3. Bohemian Rhapsody 4. Green Book 5. The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part 6. Instant Family 7. The Mule 8. Bohemian Rhapsody 4. Aquaman 5. The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part 6. Liam: As It Was 7. Green Book 8. Bumblebee 9. The Mule 10. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse How To Train Your Dragon ends the franchise with a #1 and this year's best picture winner 'Green Book' enters at #4, one place lower than 'The Shape Of Water' did last year behind Black Panther & The Greatest Showman. Instant Family was a bit on a surprise hit in the UK after flopping in the US and continues its success with a #6 opening. A Liam Gallagher documentary rounds up the top 10. Kenneth Branagh playing Shakespeare is enough of an attraction to reach #23, higher than a film obviously trying to take advantage of the upcoming, similarly titled Tarantino movie (#31) and Rosamund Pike's failed Oscar bait (#35). Despite being a massive hit ($155 million worldwide off a $9 million budget), Escape Room can only just scrape the top 40 at #38. Also Wales won some Rugby and the DVD of it enters at #88 Ż\_(ツ)_/Ż |

A film I rented last week, If Beale Street Could Talk, just about scraped the top 40. Megalodon enters just one place above The Meg. This post has been edited by LewisGT: 1st July 2019, 01:53 PM |

The Running Man 9. The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part 10. Happy Death Day 2U People must have short memories because after under-performing at the Box Office due to Liam Neeson's very misguided comments about race and revenge, Cold Pursuit easily manages to top all the charts here. Another box office disappointment, Joe Cornish's 'The Kid Who Would Be King' enters the top 10 at #4. Sequel to the surprise hit, 'Happy Death Day 2U' and not-Polar-but-the-other-snowy-2018-Mads-Mikkelsen movie 'Arctic' make the top 20. It can never understand how cheap, poorly-made films with no stars like 'Alone We Fight' can easily sell more copies than films with established stars like 'On The Basis Of Sex'. |

How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World 8. Avengers: Infinity War 9. Spider-Man: Homcoming 10. Ant-Man & The Wasp Fighting With My Family continues to be a success by entering all of the charts at #1. It even spawns another new entry for the real life Paige at #80. A random film called 'Eye For An Eye' reaches the top 20. I imagine this is purely off the cover art that prominently shows John Travolta & Morgan Freeman. In one of the most inappropriate cinematic universes of all-time, "The ... of Auschwitz"-CU gets another new entry with 'Angel' reaching #30 after "Guard" (#13) and "Accountant" (#43). D-Day also seems to be starting a shock cinematic universe as "Dog Company" reaches #62 after "The Last Heroes" reached #70 last month. The Keanussance hasn't yet reached the home-media charts as "Destination Wedding" misses the top 40 despite pairing him with Winona Ryder. The film with the wildest and worse shock twist ending of all-time 'Serenity' reaches #55. Seriously, if you don't know the ending of that film please search it. It's so bad it almost makes it a must see. This post has been edited by LewisGT: 7th July 2019, 11:38 PM |

Fighting With My Family 7. Spider-Man: Homecoming 8. Bumblebee 9. Avengers: Infinity War 10. Liverpool F.C.: Season Review 2018/19 Fisherman's Friends continues a decent year for British films by entering at #1. An old season of Doctor Who gets a Blu-Ray release and enters at #3. If you want to watch Liverpool not win the league you can buy the season review on DVD & Blu-Ray!. The Aftermath cannot match the #8 peak of the other Keira Knightly film this year 'Colette'. To capitalise on the surprise success of 'The Haunting of Borley Rectory', 2013 film 'House of Dust' is released under the title 'The Haunting of Redding Hospital' and in turn enters the chart at #30. Avengers: Infinity War 6. Aquaman 7. Fisherman's Friends 8. Bumblebee 9. First Man 10. Venom Captain Marvel is obviously #1 but it's also a very good week for television as Chernobyl just missed out at #2 and Gentleman Jack scrapes the top 10. Five Feet Apart cannot quite replicate its US success here and we (just about) get some anime in the chart with Mirai at #95. I'm not quite sure how that 'Mutants' film has managed to reach the top 40 as it took me over half-an-hour to find out any information about what it is. Even then I'm not 100% sure this is the correct film I've linked to (its not on Amazon or HMV websites). |

Avengers: Infinity War 7. Ant-Man & The Wasp 8. Spider-Man: Homecoming 9. Black Panther 10. The Edge I'm not sure if everyone followed the Captain Marvel controversy but if you did you would know that jUsTiCe HaS bEeN sErVeD!!! as Alita knock Marvel off from #1. The distributors of The Edge must have felt like they won the lottery when England won the Cricket World Cup a few weeks ago as it has helped this England Cricket doc have an impressively high new entry. How else could a cricket documentary reach the top 20? 'What Men Want' proved not to be what audiences want as it only enters at a lowly #38. |

What Captain Marvel controversy are you referring to? The #AlitaChallenge. A lot of sad people who hate Brie Larson for being 'sexist' started a campaign to try and get people to boycott Captain Marvel and see Alita instead. https://cosmicbook.news/captain-marvel-boyc...arson-man-hater This post has been edited by LewisGT: 29th July 2019, 08:35 PM |

The House That Dripped Blood 9. Asylum 10. Bumblebee Disney remakes just don't let up, with even the least successful one of the year easily debuting at #1 on each format. One of my most-anticipated films of the 2019, Us, enters at 4. I didn't manage to see it in the cinema because it came out at a time where I was focused on my dissertation but I have just rented it from Rakuten and will watch it tonight. Chernobyl re-enters the top 5 after an eventual Blu-Ray release. Matt Smith's Charles Manson film gets in before Tarentino's can be released in the UK and just missed out on the top 40. Two 1970's horror films get 'Second Sight' Blu Ray releases and chart for the first time at #50 (The House That Dripped Blood) and #55 (Asylum). Just like Paw Patrol, Thomas & Friends frequently release compilation DVD's of some of its episodes and this one: A Colourful World enters at 60. Expect it to climb next week. If you want to see a film starting one of the people out of 'People Just Do Nothing' and Jack Carroll off 2013 BGT fame, you're in luck with 'Eaten By Lions' reaching #96. |

Thanks again for posting this, Lewis. Pretty much expected 'Dumbo' to be #1.

Aquaman No change in the top 3 with the highest new entry being 'Missing Link' at #4. The latest well-reviewed but massive box-office disappointment from Laika Studios. If you're wondering how they still in business after this flops, they are being bankrolled by the father of Travis Knight (the company's CEO and director of many of the films) who owns Nike. The third film directed by Voldermort himself, Ralph Fiennes, opens at #22. It's about ballet and looks a bit boring to be honest. For a 2nd week in a row a film has attempted to take advantage of Tarentino's upcoming movie by releasing a Charles Manson film. This one is slightly more successful than 'Charlie Says' last week, opening 2 places higher at '46. Gulag... is a UK release of a Hungarian film from last year. Domino is a horribly reviewed film from once big-time director Brian De Palma. Here's a quote from its 1 star review in the latest issue of Total Film QUOTE "The only saving grace for De Palma's legacy is that it'll make so little impact that no one will remember it anyway" (Matt Maytum, Total Film) No Surrender seems to be a film with a largely Egyptian cast and All Good Things is a film set at Christmastime(!) that 4Digital Media describes as "#HorseFilms'. Will And Grace returned. This is it's 2nd or 10th series depending on how you want to look at it. |

Batman: Hush 3. Pet Sematary 4. Captain Marvel 5. Iron Man 6. Alita: Battle Angel 7. Iron Man: 3 Movie Collection 8. Dumbo 9. Aquaman 10. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse It's a great week if you're Detective Comics as Shazam! opens at #1 on all formats, the animated Batman film, 'Hush' opens at #5 (and #2 on Blu Ray) and Aquaman climbs back into the top 10. Pet Sematary has a solid opening for a horror film and, alongside 2017's 'It', shows that there is a market for Stephen King remakes. Although its not as lucrative as the Disney remake market. If you're a fan of westerns you should check out 'The Sisters Brothers'. It has a great cast (John C. Reilly & Joaquin Phoenix) and is apparently very good. After being chosen as the most popular anime of this decade in the recent Buzzjack Family Fortunes quiz, Attack On Titan (Season 3, Part 1) just about makes the top 75. Lust For A Vampire is film from 1971 that was just got a Blu Ray release which allows it to chart for this first time. 2 weeks after I bought it, Quentin Tarentino Collaction (just about) makes the top 100 for the first time. It includes his first 5 films (or 4 if you're Tarantino): Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown & the 2 Kill Bills. Iron Man gets a 4K release which sells enough for it and the trilogy collection to re-enter the top 40. |
