Not shocked about Nick going, thought for a while that Louis Tomlinson would end up replacing him this year! Expecting Olly to leave too, or be sacked. Thinking Rita will stay with X Factor rather than go back to The Voice but I guess she'll be persuaded by whoever offers more money :')

Olly has quit as host too now! I thought it'd happen anyway, without Caroline and it wasn't a great series for him

Only because everyone was using him and Caroline as punch bags for changes to the show and had, for the most part, made their mind up about the show before actually watching it.
With hindsight, the shit he criticised for was hardly earth shattering. I just look forward to him coming back with album 5 later this year and proving everybody who said his career was 'over' wrong. |

Olly just didn't work as a presenter on the main show imo. He worked well with Caroline on The Xtra Factor which was more lighthearted really but on the main show, I didn't think much of his presenting skills. He's a nice guy of course but it wasn't working out and I hope they get someone better for this year.

I think on the main show he just had too much pressure (Esp in the live show) He just didnt enjoy it you can tell. Worked better on XTRA Factor

It was a bizarre decision to employ someone who is not a presenter and put them in a position where there was a lot riding on it.

According to Dan Wootton the X Factor is renewed for 3 more series after the next series.

Britain's Got Talent is staying until 2019 as well. Joy.
Yeah I think it's in case The Voice tanks, I can see them throwing everything at that for its first series on the channel and then if flops they'll probably just try really hard and really revamp X Factor? I mean the way ratings are going they really have to try something, I think maybe the fact The Voice has moved to ITV might be enough hype for the first series maybe, we'll see. I think people are just a bit fed up of these reality singing contests, although I still like to watch personally. I just take them less seriously for the most part, they're entertainment for me and I don't expect much from the contestants afterwards etc (although I can still get caught up in shock eliminations and hating contestants )! |

I don't think it's a case of one or the other when it comes to The Voice or X Factor though, both are big ratings bringers and I expect ITV will have huge focus on both of them to ensure they stay that way! XF's ratings aren't what they used to be but they're still good and it no doubt makes a lot of money for ITV through the phone vote and advertising.

At the moment the last series of X Factor had better ratings than The Voice has now, and that says a lot.

By the way, for those who haven't seen it, there's a big X Factor alumni rate happening in the Little Mix forum at the moment, all the top 40 hits from X factor contestants!

It's a but its probably a bit early to make a thread so I'll just put it in here. It seems as though there will be BIG changes to Big Brother this year. The extension to the house has been allowed and whilst it appeared to be a second house, Rylan suggested that it could be a task arena. He also said this:
QUOTE “People know what Big Brother is now, the contestants know what to expect. This year they won’t, because we’re doing something brand new which they haven’t even thought about! “It will be a brand new show. It’s all change at Big Brother so it’ll be like starting a new job. We’ve been ready for a while for that, and I think the public have been ready for that, so I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s reactions on launch night. This year, expect something very different.” I have a big feeling that they're going to change the format to the US/Canada one or at least incorporate elements from it. Very, very exciting anyway!!! |

Dermot and the room auditions are returning to X Factor
------ Also rumours for BB say that there will be a second house for ex All Star contestants, and they'll compete against the normal ones. For C5 "All Star" will probs be vile people from the C5 series but at least Helen is banned now |
