I think its a song thats really beautiful in its simplicity and has aged really well. Shame it got the low peak it did as a 4th single. Warming up to the new one. When it was released we mentioned that it didn't sound like a big song, and it feels like they set their expectations accordingly. They weren't even in the UK to premiere it on the radio, so making it a hit is not a priority for them. That said, it is still very recent, it has got in a few R&B playlists on Spotify, and they are perfoming in one of TVs biggest shows this week, so let's give it a chance.
Like someone said, I wouldn't be surprised if they opened preorders for the album this weekend, even if I want to temper my expectations. |
