Another good release from Lyrical Lemonade albeit not as good as 'Doomsday'.

Very catchy. Reminds me of 90s hip hop.

I'll turn this into an album thread now as the record looks like it will have some interesting collaborations including Cochise, Denzel Curry, Juicy J, Lil B & Teezo Touchdown and Gus Dapperton, Lil Yachty & Joey Bada$$.

That Gus Dapperton, Lil Yachty & Joey Bada$$ collab was released on Friday!

The tracklist has also been released featuring the likes of The Kid LAROI, JID & Latto. 'Doomsday Pt. 2' will also be on the album, which features Eminem (the original 'Doomsday' sampled an Eminem song).

Hype for the Sheck Wes/Ski Mask The Slump God/J.I.D song *.*

Curious to see if this will be allowed on the main album chart in the UK or treated as a compilation (the OCC are inconsistent with this kind of thing, they banished a couple of the Dreamville albums to compilations but then allowed the last one in for example).

This is a really mid album. It really feels like most of them are phoning it in. You know it's bad when you're happy to hear Lil B! Listening while reading the lyrics on Genius really highlights just how much better Dave is compared to all the big name current American artists on here.

I listened to two new Rap albums today and the Benny The Butcher release is definitely the better album. It's nothing special but it's a pretty solid 7/10 throughout.

Track Ratings: (averages out to 6/10 overall)

Wes/Ski Mask/JID - 7/10
Durk/Cudi - 2/10 (unbelievably bad)
Keef/Yachty - 6/10
Tecca/Laroi/Skies - 5/10
Teezo/Juicy J/Cochise/Curry/Lil B - 7/10 (would be 8 without the Teezo intro)
Latto/Swae Lee/Amine - 5/10 (Swae Lee saved)
$NOT/6 Dogs - 7/10 (being generous)
Juice WRLD/Cordae - 7/10
Eminem - 8/10
Gus Dapperton/Yachty/Bada$$ - 5/10 (it's different but gets old quickly)
BabyTron/G Herbo - 8/10
Lil Tracy/Corbin/Black Kray - 6/10
UMI/SahBabii/Teezo - 7/10
Jack Harlow/Dave - 8/10

Well I gave this a listen as I did like all 3 of the singles I'd heard from it but they ended up being almost the only worthwhile songs on it oops! (And the other two singles that I didn't hear before ('Guitar In My Room' and 'Hello There') are both among the worst on the album lol). The only other songs I'm saving are 'Say Ya Grace' and 'First Night' (which sounds like at least 3 different songs stitched together but is still a fun enough banger). J.I.D did his thing as ever on 'Fly Away' but he couldn't save the rest of the song being just ok. 'Equilibrium' was decent too and Eminem's verse had a few funny lines but as an overall track it was nowhere close to as good as the first 'Doomsday'. The rest are varying levels of boring.
