 After three previous stints of co-hosting I'm finally stepping forward to take on the full BJSC hosting experience, following a victory with 'A Neverending Dream' by X-Perience. The people of Jadakissnia plan to follow up such a joyous entry with... something dark and when better to do so than during Halloween month? It feels fitting to be hosting this time with a back catalogue including: 'WVFFLIFE', 'the nature of dying' and 'Toccata'. Feel free to join us if you're itching to send something haunting too. Alternatively - anything goes. Unless it's too cheap. In just a few days time I'll have a bandage around my head (as part of surgery, not extending my host duties to wearing a Halloween costume while inputting numbers) and will have some general life limitations for a week in recovery, but I'm hoping to be able to pull it off, since most of that time will be during the less intense early stages of hosting. Get searching as confirmations are on their way. Bring on an enjoyable edition! |

we spookyscary this month I have a song that I'm pretty set on sending already - it's very reminiscent of the mid-10s deep house craze (Route 94 et al.) which is a sound I thought I got bored of ages ago but I'm finding this new song really addictive and fresh sounding again. My only quandary is I don't know which version of it to send, it has a music video but annoyingly it's for a shorter edit of the song that feels like it's over too quickly for me... but then again the song is fairly repetitive so I don't know if the extra minute and a half is worth the tradeoff of losing the visuals for anyone watching on YouTube xx (it does only have the full version on Spotify so the decision is made for me there) |

I'm biting the bullet this month as I have a long enough Q streak that I want to risk a slow indie-folk type song, not expecting anything big, but it's one of my favourites of the year and I really want to share it with people. |

It hadn't occurred to me before but the entry I have planned is very fitting for Halloween. It's a dark instrumental with a haunting video but still fast paced enough to have a rave to.

And I'm totally not convinced what I want to send next month...I was able to dig few 90's but then I think I should hold those for a bit (at least another contest). Also now that I managed to break my consecutive Q's record, I think the pressure is off me and I might lean more to risque side  |
