'Flip A Switch' is a decent follow up. Couldn't really tell the major difference with the Coi addition remix though.

Flip A Switch could easily be a big hit if people bothered to move on from Escapism

Live version (she recorded her Albert hall performance) coming out at midnight. Titled “my 21st century symphony” can’t wait to hear the orchestral versions!

The live version is fantastic! Raye is such a versatile performer and this setting really suits her imo

Omg she deserves to sweep tbh. Hope she gets at least 1/2. I think escapism could get song of the year. She deserves album too but idk. Not sure why she’s in the new artists lmao
Hope she performs too! Can’t wsit, this will be her night for sure |

I could see her doing a medley tbh! Perhaps Worth It/Escapism/Prada but with Escapism being the most prominent song in the slot.

Has she done many performances of 'Escapism.'? I remember she did 'The Thrill Is Gone.' at the Mercury Prize ceremony which I was initially disappointed by as that's one of the weaker songs on the album for me but she does sell the hell out of it live.

I was also thinking 'Oscar Winning Tears.' would be a good choice to perform at an awards ceremony

6 BRIT Awards. She did that and this was the winning album. Special foil editions of the CD are available on her site at £5 (but £7 shipping??) so we could see a rise in the chart off the back of the night.
I finally got to see her last week live and she is such a star. Over 2 hours she was on stage performing, interacting with the crowd and checking on everyone when there were some issues in the crowd. You can tell that she is so grateful for the support and recognition received since leaving Polydor. |

I’ve actually been meaning to get the album so I’m gonna get that BRITs special edition. The shipping fee does seem a little more than I’d expect but after what she’s went through I’d like to support. I do think the album could get quite a big boost this week and it should extend its chart life nicely.
I said on the BRITs thread there’s a lot of goodwill re Raye and I think she’s in a great position now for when she does drop new music. Hopefully she can strike while the irons hot and get album 2 out fairly quickly. |
