"Like A Virgin" is my SOTY and Madonna had three additional # 1 hits (Holiday, Lucky Star, Borderline).

From low-known (for non-Russians) songs I adore "Lady Perfect" from Soviet movie version of "Mary Poppins" (5 weeks at # 1 in January-February).

As I remember there were only three songs on Russian language, which reached # 1 in my chart (others are "Horoscope" by Estonian singer Anne Veski in 1994 year and "Slave Of Love" by Nataliya Vetlitzkaya, SOTY of 1995 year).

Hi Alex, Holiday is in my 1985 top 100 very high, as it went top 5 in 1984 but peaked at 2 in 1985, and then hit number one in 1991, Borderline is in 1984 because it peaked in 1986 which to me is not just a re-entry it's a re-issue so it gets listed under the original year. Lucky Star went top 20 in my charts but missed out on the top 100 because its never been reissued, oddly. Maybe they'll do a 40th anniversary vinyl edition next year instead of Holiday for a change!

Well, I must admit a Russian version of Mary Poppins wasn't something I've ever heard of! laugh.gif Is that a traditional holiday or kids film these days? Or is just a fond childhood memory to a lot of people?
