I'm so glad we didn't finish 7th, can't be dealing with third tier Thursday nights. At least now it's either Europa or nothing depending on next week.

It's not great but it's only one less than two season's ago when we finished on "0" goal difference I'm also relived that we avoided the Conference League, it's been a very poor season but at least we can now put it behind us from the Premier League side of things. Normally after having these kind of seasons the following season is normally an improvement so we should at least improve on what we've done this season. |

Finishing the season on -1 goal difference. Jeez. This was about the only interesting thing about our season, the battle with the GD And Houdini is right we'll probably comfortably finish top 4 next season with zero expectations then the season after when we should be kicking on we'll be back down to 7th or 8th again. It's the way it is nowadays. |

Call me crazy, but the Conference League would have been good for you. Yeah it's not the CL, but these competitions are good for game rhytym and you can play players to bed in. |

What do United fans think should happen in the summer then? If Erik wins the FA Cup next week should be stay for a third season? If he doesn’t should he go? Who would replace him?

The new owers will want their own man in. I reckon they might keep him though and have other candidates warm ready to take over in the season goes pear shaped. |

ten Hag has always been a great manager imo, but not for PL teams. He should return to the Netherlands or go to another country.

Yeh I think he’s decent but there’s something missing with United. Not sure if you blame it on the board again or what. Think if he wins the cup he will be given another pre season. There will be a lot of ins and outs over the summer but the euros won’t help for a smooth summer for any team.
The game I always think of when I think of Erik is the legendary chaotic champions league semi final in 2019 vs Spurs! |

I don't think winning the FA Cup should save him tbh, a one-off game if we happen to catch City on a rare off day means nothing in the grand context of next season and beyond. He's just not that guy, promised this total football he had going on at Ajax but has been the worst combination of all the managers post-Fergie. Can't score, can't defend- we're the easiest team in the whole league to play against, conceded the most shots and most big chances out of every team including the promoted ones. No Plan B as soon we concede the first goal, we're extremely lucky to even finish as high as 8th this season.

Ten Haag is poor in every area. Transfers, man management. Tactics, inspiration etc etc. might give him a slightly better mark on bringing through youth players but he messed Amad around all season too so not sure. Will be happy to see him go even if the replacements look unappealing currently
