Is he??? I thoufht he was a leftist? I haven't followed him for a long time, but didn't he defend Corbyn and call out the right wing media? I can't imagine someone going leftist to Nazi.

The fact he was left wing (and doesn't explicitly say he's not nowadays) means he's valuable to the alt right as they can say "Even Russell Brand thinks the left have gone too woke nowadays" |

There's long been rumours about Russell Brand, but who knows. I suspect there are some pretty serious allegations. Also RE Russell Brand, he is one of those people who has just sold out and discovered how to make a lot of money. I don't think he believes half of the shite he spouts these days, but it's clearly a big winner for him so he just follows the money. Politically he's very left wing, but he's just been influenced by the alt-right in a way a lot of conspiracy theorists have, and also discovered they can make a lot of money in the process.

Oh, Russell Brand's been too far gone for a long time now, Covid and the anti-vax sentiment made it all the more apparent. The fact he's best mates with Jordan Peterson tells you all you need to know. If he is at the centre of whatever this is, it's not a huge surprise.

y’all need to catch up on the post-left/MAGA communism. grifters who made a name as socialists during the bernie/corbyn heyday, realized pandering to the alt-right made more money, and now ally with people who spout reactionary nonsense nonsense or spout reactionary nonsense themselves while dressing it up in Marxist terminology. lots of them funded by venture capitalists with reactionary views like Peter thiel, also big proponents of culture war bullshit. i haven’t paid attention to Russell brand in years but it seems from what others have said he’s gone down this route.
