Hey everyone
Ok, so users who have been here many years will know I have tried this before and failed, mainly because it was a Top 500 for albums/singles and either Buzzjack users got bored becuase it was taking so long or I got bored due to the lack of user interaction, sooooooo I have been working on something knew over the past year or so. Ive cut it down to a Top 100 including new countdowns. Top 100 songs Top 100 albums Top 100 singles act Top 100 albums act Top 100 act overall This is all based on points so number 1 = 100 points and 100 = 1 point, and yes we all know the early 2000s are at a disadvantage and songs out now are at an advantage, oh well, cant help that haha. The points are up until the end of 2017, any errors ? please make me aware. Once the countdowns are over, I will be updating each in a new post once the weekly chart is announced. So hopefully this will be fun and users will interact blah blah blah Poss - Act - Song - Points 1 Frank Sinatra - My Way - 8,035 2 Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars - 6,507 3 Ed Sheeran - Thinking out loud - 6,482 4 Pogues - Fairytale of new york - 6,288 5 Kings of Leon - Sex on fire - 6,114 6 Mariah Carey - All I want for Christmas is you - 5,489 7 John Legend - All of me - 5,477 8 Pharell Willams - Happy - 5,440 9 Blac eyed peas - I gotta feeling - 5,302 10 Clean Bandit - Rather Be - 5,223 11 Sia - Chandelier - 5,217 12 Wham - Last Christmas - 4,969 13 Kings of Leon - Use Somebody - 4,950 14 Hozier - Take me to church - 4,900 15 Bill Haley - Rock around the clock - 4,772 16 Frankie goes to Hollywood - Relax - 4,650 17 Judy Collins - Amazing Grace - 4,615 18 Adele - Someone like you - 4,595 19 Slade - Merry christmas everybody - 4,564 20 Bastielle - Pompeii - 4,552 21 Mr Acker Bilk - Stranger on the shore - 4,534 22 Mark Ronson - Uptown Funk - 4,517 23 Take That - Rule the world - 4,487 24 Sam Smith - Stay with me - 4,429 25 Idine Menzel - Let it go - 4,424 26 George Ezra - Budapest - 4,403 27 One Republic - Counting Stars - 4,402 28 Drake - One Dance - 4,364 29 Lady Gaga - Poker Face - 4,354 30 Major Lazer - Lean On - 4,351 31 Ed Sheeran - Shape of you - 4,189 32 David Guetta - Titanium - 4,176 33 Engelbert Humperdink - Release Me - 4,164 34 Jason Mraz - Im Yours - 4,137 35 Sia - Cheap Thrills - 4,084 36 Passenger - Let her go - 4,066 37 Justin Beiber - Sorry - 4,051 38 Journey - Don't stop believin' - 4,042 39 Imagine Dragons - Radioactive - 3,981 40 Wizzard - Wish it could be Christmas - 3,955 41 Maroon 5 - Moves like Jagger - 3,948 42 James Bay - Hold back the river - 3,938 43 Gotye - Somebody that I used to know - 3,924 44 Justin Beiber - What do you mean - 3,911 45 Band Aid - Do they know it's Christmas - 3,899 46 Ed Sheeran - Photograph - 3,889 47 LMFAO - Party rock anthem - 3,876 48 Avicii - Wake me up - 3,871 49 New Order - Blue Monday -3,870 50 Justin Timberlake - Can't stop the feeling - 3,834 51 Rihanna - Umbrella - 3,807 52 Nickelback - Rockstar - 3,769 53 LMFAO - Sexy and I know it - 3,754 54 Mr Probz - Waves - 3,729 55 Adele - Make you feel my love - 3,701 56 Adele - Rolling in the deep - 3,678 57 Lumineers - Ho Hey - 3,658 58 Fray - How to save a life - 3,650 59 Justin Beiber - Love Yourself - 3,622 60 Flo Rida - Low - 3,604 61 Killers - Mr Brightside - 3,578 62 Skrillex - Where are you now - 3,568 63 Shawn Mendes - Stitches - 3,566 64 Frankie Laine - I Believe - 3,536 65 OMI - Cheerleader - 3,526 66 Weekend - Can't feel my face - 3,470 67 Weekend - Hills - 3,463 68 Ed Sheeran - The A Team - 3,458 69 Amy Winehouse - Rehab - 3,448 70 Chubby Checker - Let's twist again - 3,433 71 Shakin Stevens - Merry Christmas Everyone - 3,433 72 Vance Joy - Riptide - 3,427 73 Eminem - Love the way you lie - 3,425 74 Jessie J - Price Tag - 3,408 75 Carly rae jepson - Call me maybe - 3,394 76 Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines - 3,389 77 Coldplay - Viva la vida - 3,382 78 PSY - Gangnam Style - 3,382 79 Christina Perri - Jar of hearts - 3,359 80 Tinie Tempah - Pass Out - 3,345 81 Walk the moon - Shut up & dance - 3,339 82 Lady Gaga - Bad Romance - 3,336 83 Rihanna - We found love - 3,325 84 Oasis - Whatever - 3,323 85 Rudimental - Feel the love - 3,319 86 Coldplay - Paradise - 3,302 87 Christina Perri - A thousand years - 3,296 88 Kanye West - Gold Digger - 3,291 89 Bruno Mars - Just the way you are - 3,288 90 John Lennon - Imagine - 3,256 91 Tony Christie - Is this the way to Amarillo - 3,245 92 Zara Larsson - Lush Life - 3,238 93 Ed Sheeran - Sing - 3,235 94 One Direction - What makes you beautiful - 3,235 95 Jim Reeves - I love you because - 3,231 96 Script - Man who can't be moved - 3,208 97 Ella Henderson - Ghost - 3,181 98 Ed Sheeran - Don’t - 3,164 99 Dawn - Tie a yellow ribbon - 3,149 100 Daft Punk - Get Lucky - 3,140 This post has been edited by Dannyboy: 18th June 2018, 04:51 PM |

100 - Daft Punk - Get Lucky ft. Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers - 3,140 points
Peak Position - 1 Weeks on chart - 56 Chart Run - 3-{1}-1-1-1-2-3-3-4-6-8-10-9-11-9-13-16-22-28-28-33-38-36-32-45-42-45-56-57-60-66-78-90-93-86-78-49-39-54-52-62-42-51-63-47-45-57-74-91-94-90-97-98-99-98-100 Personal View I never got this, I still don't, genuinely think its one of the worst songs ever done by Daft Punk, doesn't help that I don't think I have liked anything by Pharrell |

I cannot STAND Pharrell. I find him so cocky and arrogant. His songs are awful too.

Get Lucky is a tune of life and I won't be told otherwise. Daft Punk are due a proper comeback soon one would hope, it's been five years now but I know the wait between albums was 8 years last time.

As for the Dawn record. I don't think I've ever intentionally listened or even remember hearing it. Suppose it was a massive hit but well before my time and isn't that well remembered seemingly.

Get Lucky was good at the time but was so overplayed I got bored of it very quickly. Also Lose Yourself To Dance is MILES better.
Never even heard of that Dawn song that's quite the Chart run for back then! Don't is one of only two good tracks from x. |

I would have thought the entire top 100 of this (bar 'My Way') would have been made up of post-2007 songs and Christmas classics by now

97 - Ella Henderson - Ghost - 3,181 points
Peak Position - 1 Weeks on chart - 50 Chart Run - {1}-1-2-2-3-4-3-4-6-5-10-12-12-18-17-17-21-22-16-18-21-29-37-45-49-43-37-33-30-30-38-42-44-50-50-51-49-50-51-59-63-74-81-72-87-87-86-95-96-96 Personal View I think we can all agree that this is a bloody great song, quite curious to hear what she is going to come back with, I never really rated her high on X-Factor so this song was a great surprise. |

Well she's got dropped so her comeback may be a low budget affair that doesn't impact. Baffling but that is SyCo for you.
