01. no tears left to cry (15/21 votes | 71.43%) 02. Rain On Me (6/21 votes | 28.57%) To the surprise of no-one, 'no tears left to cry' matches it's achievement from our 2020 UK Top 10 Survivor series and gets another trophy to add to it's cabinet. Rain On Me fought a good fight but could not come close causing an upset. In the equivalent UK survivor, it finished 4th, behind two songs that were not eligible for this poll ('One Last Time' & 'breathin'). 'Rain On Me' is the poppiest release from Ariana in years and features on Lady Gaga's 6th studio album Chromatica. A GRAMMY winning collaboration, the track debuted atop the charts in the USA and UK and it's bright music video featured some rare Ariana choreographed dance routines and was directed by Robert Rodriguez. Our winner might not have topped the charts, being beat by Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa's 'One Kiss' in the UK and double Drake in the US ('Nice For What' & 'God's Plan'), nor even pick up a single GRAMMY nom, but was still an instant Buzzjack fave (inspiring many an upside down username) and is widely regarded as one of her strongest tracks. It was the perfect first single to release after the tragic events of 2017; not shying away from the pain and trauma but still leaving us with an optimistic, hopeful message. Like many of Ari's biggest hits, the track was co-produced by Max Martin and had a video directed by Dave Meyers. 01. no tears left to cry (15/21 votes | 71.43%) 02. Rain On Me (6/21 votes | 28.57%) 03. Break Free (13/22 votes | 59.09%) 04. God is a woman (15/27 votes | 55.56%) 05. thank u, next (12/29 votes | 41.38% 06. Love Me Harder (8/24 votes | 33.33%) 07. Dangerous Woman (7/25 votes | 28.00%) 08. 7 rings (8/23 votes | 34.78%) 09. Problem (5/18 votes | 27.78%) 10. Save Your Tears (11/25 votes | 44%) 11. Side to Side (6/22 votes | 27.27%) 12. positions (8/24 votes | 33.33%) 13. 34+35 (5/17 votes | 29.41%) 14. Focus (10/23 votes | 43.48%) 15. Oops I missed voting in the final. Doesn’t look like my vote would’ve made a difference though.

I knew no tears would win but Rain On Me coming second was a shock to me (I know Gaga is huge on here but on a Ariana forum thread I expected it to be like 6th/7th.
My list would be a bit different Break Free is definitely very high but she’s had so many hits and so many classics what didn’t feature her due to them not being a top ten hit. A great topic! I wonder how a updated thread like this will do when we get AG7 and she undoubtedly adds to her collection. |

Perfect result!
I know 'Thank U, Next's success kinda overshadowed it in 2018 but I'm so glad it's rightly regarded as being superior. |
