Following Isconia's historic 1st win in the main BJSC (following the success in BJ Festivalen) we are pleased to announce that once again a Scandinavian pop sensation have been chosen to represent the coastal nation of Isconia at BJSC XXXVII being hosted in it's pleasant and peaceful capital Caer Isca.
Good luck to Icona Pop and their song "Manners" with it's 80s pastiche video. |

The Isconian BJSC Committee is pleased to announce that Isconia managed to secure a place in the Top 10 of BJSC XL, the first since St Lana Del Rey won the contest.
Hopes had not been high as Jess Mills stepped in at literally the last minute due to two other acts deciding to sing for rival nations. Jess managed to defy the lowly odds that had been chucked her way to finish in tenth place with a very late surge up the table. The IBJSCC is now looking forward to TBO where we will definitely be represented by St Lana and to TBO rejects where hopefully Pati Yang, Burning Hearts and Creep will be able to take some consolation from cruel DNQ's. |

What a completely up and down 1st complete year in BJSC. 3 DNQs and then actually winning. Three other top 10s kept me happy though.
And I was completely satisfied having won the Festivalen at the start of the year! Good times! |

So glad that Oh Land made it into TBO Semis. Shame that Niki and the Dove didn't join her there.
This track signals the start of my proper attempts at BJSC. The first two competitions were a bit of a misfire at best. Hope she can join Lana in the final! |

A very successful end of year has been achieved in the annual BJSC TBO's by Isconian entries.
St Lana of Isconia has beaten off all comers to be voted the favourite BJSC song of 2011, narrowly defeating the rather gorgeous Riverside from Batidas star, Agnes Obel. In the same contest, Sun of a Gun by Oh Land finished in a very respectable 15th place. Meanwhile in the Rejects contest, Pati Yang received some consolation for bitter taste of non-qualification as she finished 5th with some great support from FSR Rontvia and their delegation. Thanks go from the hearts of the Isconian BJSC Committee to all nations that voted for Isconian entries during 2011. Looking forward to XLI in Greenfroze later in the month. |

Churches looking forward to final
In a reversal of recent fortune, Churches are looking forward to the final in Aeroche. The band released a statement through INA stating "We're really happy that we have managed to turn this around for the nation of Isconia. We're really loooking forward to the final show." In further news, St Lana Del Rey has read a statement from National President, El Greb. The statement apologised for recent behaviour from the Isconian National delegation (specifically the President) which several BJSC nations labelled as childish. El Greb asked for forgiveness from fellow BJSC nations and vowed that this behaviour (brought on by a combination of stress and tiredness) would not be repeated. |
