Her very best for me was a really emotional moment on tour and that just cemented it as my favourite. Fantastic track!

Agreed. My absolute favourite Katy track and video. The whole package was perfect, for me. THAT CHART RUN! *.* Still annoyed it hasn't peaked higher, but I can't grumble at the longevity it had! Especially pre-streaming!

I honestly never thought that she would go with a 6th single, especially from an album that already had so many chart smashes, and honestly I'm glad she did, as this ended 'TD Pt1' beautifully and slowing things down after so many up-tempo singles was a smart move. Okay I was a little bit gutted that 'Hummingbird Heartbeat' didn't get released, but that stayed as it was, a fantastic album track.
This however showed that Katy can sing ballads and you can tell straight away that she poured her heart into this with such intensity and emotion, especially with that soaring melody and yet another fantastic music video that really tells a touching and sad story, even without that you still get what the song's about, just beautiful. It definitely deserved better than it's #18 peak, but considering that it's the 6th single, it still did really well and had really great staying power. |
