If it wasn't for Taylor having Sabrina as an opening act she wouldn't be in the top 10, look at all her past chartings. As for physicals of the cd they was realised last week in America and this week in the UK.

I think you're being really disingenuous here to suggest it's solely down to that.

She's been slowly building her profile and it looks like it's the right song at the right time to propel her into the upper echelons.

Blank Space is 100% her signature hit.

I'd still argue that it's 'Shake It Off' although I'd probably say 'Blank Space' is a close-ish second.
Some of those other suggestions are laughable though - 'Love Story' is nowhere near, and 'Cruel Summer' is way too recent.

I'd say Shake It Off is her 'signature hit'. It's certainly the one that feels like it's had the most aggressive overplay over the years and become a hometown club staple.

Exactly.

Perfect opportunity has fallen to milk the stans with physicals for another week to "keep it from falling off #1".

Shake It Off is too dancey and vibey for Taylor in Asia, so I doubt it's really that iconic here, except in the first 3 years.
I'd say they prefer the love & relationship Taylor songs to this. So:

1. Blank Space
2. Love Story (I guarantee us will remember Taylor by just saying Romeo)
3. Lover
.
.
.
some folklore/evermore songs that I never really cared of
.
.
.
15-20. Shake It Off

It's just my opinion. I just hardly ever hear my Swifty friends listening to Shake It Off.

Just checked and the previous Pet Shop Boys album did 16,768
so this is a great improve, already beaten that figure on the Mon mids alone

I think he’s right, the eras tour promo was huge, and viral over TikTok. It made Sabrina an A lister. The Tour is what skyrocketed her career and was her big break

People saying Love Story is not one of her signature hits have clearly never heard it at a wedding because it goes off.

But that's the point, we're not talking about what Swifties listen to, we're talking about the general public. If we're talking fan favourite song then 'Shake It Off' would be nowhere near.

I'm a bit shocked at this conversation tbh. Love Story has always been Taylor's signature song. At least I thought so.

I got nothing against Taylor but when you have a zillion accolades to make unnecessary CD’s not even your fans asked for to steal a first 1 from a supposed friend to just get a 2nd week at 1 in a foreign country is def narcissistic. Tye good thing about calling her narcissistic is she has lyrics calling herself narcissistic so nobody can deny it

The flaw in your argument is that well known advice given to those who think they're narcissists - narcissists don't know they're narcissists and certainly don't stop to question if they might be a narcissist.

I don't think she even knows or cares about what's happening in the UK singles chart right now, dude.

Also wouldn't the CD singles be the work of her label rather than her personally? I remember you levelled the same accusation at Ari as being "narcissistic" for some reason (and also, may I add, without a hint of irony)

It's probably given it a boost but I think to say it's skyrocketed is a bit of a stretch it's taken 3 weeks to hit these numbers

i do agree that saying the eras tour skyrocketed her is a strech, it more than likely helped but she was already growing since, but it did help espresso - it debuted at #12 on spotify which is something sabrina hadnt done before so id argue its just grown bigger rather than grown from a minor to a big hit

I have to disagree here, she wasn't well know until she started touring with Taylor , the date where Sabrina couldn't do her set list it was all over the paper here saying how she joined Taylor on stage. The was another artcle complaining about Sabrina saying it was too saucy. Without that she wouldn't be in the top 20. I tried looking for her past chart positions with her singles but nothing, I think one of her albums charted at 43 here.
