[quote zavvi.co.uk] The Joint Administrators will continue to trade the remaining 92 stores throughout the UK and also today announce further reductions off current discounted prices, with 20-50% off across almost all product lines with effect from Friday 9th January.

Well I'm going down to Zavvi tomorrow got my eye on a few things... biggrin.gif

Yeah It most likely will be it seems it's most Dvd's & Music.

I think it's pretty much the same as the current 10% with Ipods & Consoles etc Excluded

I just read another report that states there will be 50% off everything?! unsure.gif Will be interesting to see what impact this has on next weeks chart although my local Zavvi has hardly any CDs left tbh!

Its sad that Zavvi now looks like not being saved - If they are reducing items by 50% then stores will soon be empty hardly appealing to a new buyer for the company!

We will have to see but knowing Zavvi who are very reluctant to reduce prices, the reductions will be on Cr*p and there will probably be 50% off very few items.

I'm still going down though, you never know..seeing as Zavvi owners have little input into the running of Zavvi now, it's all down to the Administrators so we could be seeing 50% off everything..That would be amazing as it's my birthday today I'm currently loaded biggrin.gif

Although, please note I'm very happy for the reductions but I am sorry for all the people who work there..They probably don't even know if there gonna be paid for working or anything..they must be scared Sh*tless..So glad where i work we are currently up on takings over last year, which is really odd but fantastic.

I think Zavvi will have nothing to do with prices now - The adminstrators will just be concerned with shifting as much stock as possible!

20 or 30% off Zavvi lines?

That just means their prices will tally with other retailers.....

Not really.. I find my Zavvi is pretty resonable compared with other high street retailers.

There prices are usually £2-3 more than Play.com etc.. But still there are some bargains to be had as the reduced lines are also subject to this further discount.

I have my eye on the Only fools and horses boxset... biggrin.gif I saw one the other day and I couldn't stop laughing..I had forgotten just how funny it is.

It's supposedly three weeks to find a buyer or they're out?

It would be an awful shame if they did go. cry.gif
