Three more countries also get their highest points from us to date: Mosquetania, of course appearing in their first final, have smashed it out of the ballpark and get 12 points from us straight away with an addictive 80s-synth-indie-dance-pop banger; Bhangra are the recipients of probably our biggest ever U-turn as they walk away with 10 points (double their previous best from us) after at one point being in our bottom 5 of the entire final, the song eventually made sense for us though, beautiful stuff; and Aesthetica are also in our top 10 of a final for the first time, claiming 6 points with a BANGER and clearly the best thing to come out of Drag Race. It is with great reluctance that we also have to give 3 points to our troll of a host New Lexico for a solid ethnic bop. Other points: 11 to an on-brand spooky delight from Terra Avium; 9 points to a lovely vibey obscurity from Aeroche (their latest winner? lol); Rolloland was a bit of a slow burner for us but ultimately we can't resist a 10 minute song so 8 points their way it is; 7 points go to Espen's lovely resurrection of The Pirouettes; banging opera house is worth 5 for Bøtanikkä; banging electro swing is worth 4 for FSR Rontvia; not so banging but still pretty awesome shoegaze is worth 2 for Trifoski; and our votes are rounded out with a mealworm point for Séyetana which was another slow grower but ultimately just scraped in to ensure we're not letting down #metalbloc this month.
