Does anybody else watch this?

I've only just got into it. I watched a few episodes of the first few series' but I watched last night's episode - the first from series 5 and i thought it was HILARIOUS!!! :w00t:

So what does everyone else think about it?

And are the first four series good enough to buy on dvd?

that is the one that was on the other night.

it used to bee very good.... but the original premis has now evolved and the show just isnt quite as good.

ps... the theme tune is 'flagpole sitta' by harvey danger from '98.

I still like it, but agree that series 2 and 3 were best, with losts of Big Suze and Super Hans! :D

not everyone who likes the peep show are old enough to know what the track is <_<, especially as it only got to #57 in 98!!!! thats ten years ago... i posted that to help anyone who was wondering about it.... if no one cares fair do's but if 1 person discovers a decent track then its all worthwhile.

there you go then, you were 6 when 'flagpole sitta' was released! youre luck enough to know it but plenty dont and i think its a good track, im surprised it hasnt been re-released.

It aint as cutting edge as it was, but let's face it, it's still head and shoulders above most of the dull, uninspired sh"t masquerading as comedy out there... And it's MILES better than anything the Yanks can come up with....

Last nights episode was f***ing ace!

of course.

I dont know - its a different vibe to a lot of what the americans are doing - and i watched Peep Show at about 3am the other night and it didnt work at that time for me even tho there some writing in there but the vibe wasnt right - the comedy vibe was too negative to be enjoyable then (was gonna use the word downbeat but i think negative might be better) - where on the other hand something cheesy like That 70s Show works better then (used because of the That 70s show-peep show Chain Letters link of Days Like These!!!) or something on Dave like Red Dwarf or Bottom.

but Scrubs is another show that i feel has to be enjoyed at the right time to get the vibe right - love scrubs but not the thing you want to watch it in the day for eg (normally watch Randall and Hopkirk or Top Gear instead if im here)

twas very funny last night.... that revolting wet patch :puke2:

They think I've wet myself but I win because I've actually came in my pants!

Mate, I think the only reason you think that "Peep Show" is 'negative' is because American comedy is, for the most part, childish, saccharine and annoyingly 'overly perky'. Yank comedy treats you like children, Brit com like "Peep Show" treats its audience like grown-ups... It's quite brilliantly observed, I think we all know someone who's a bit like Mark and Jeremy, whereas, I dont think anyone knows anybody who acts like the cast of "Friends" or "Will and Grace"..... And, would anyone really want to...?
