Posted May 7, 201114 yr http://www.e4.com/images/mb/E4/chelsea/galleries/photoshoot/photoshoot-most-510.jpg It's time to peek behind the designer curtains of South West London and meet London's young socially elite, Made in Chelsea. Yes, they're immaculately dressed; yes, they are fiercely ambitious; and of course they party hard. But beyond the posh accents, fast cars and polo parties, life isn't all champagne and canapés. See the real-life rivalries and relationships that set tongues wagging and phones beeping behind closed doors on the Kings Road. Enjoy every love-in, fall out and bitch fest captured on camera and played out over eight deliciously decadent one-hour episodes on E4. Starts Monday @ 9PM on E4. Anyone gonna be watching?
May 7, 201114 yr I doubt it will have the comedy factor of Essex so probably not. I also doubt it will be a hit. Seven Days on C4 just went to show that people don't enjoy watching spoiled Londoners doing nothing.
May 7, 201114 yr Yeah it looks very dry and dull. Obviously trying to cash in on Essex's success too. I might give the first episode a watch, but only if I haven't got anything better to do.
May 9, 201114 yr Ridiculously staged (definitely moreso than TOWIE - the capsizing boat for example) but I still sort of loved it. The main group are basically the complete opposite of the TOWIE crew, while still being the 'socially elite'...the posh accents, distinct lack of fake tan, lack of vajazzling... Definitely not a patch on TOWIE but I'll be watching nonetheless. Cheska, Binky and Ollie are my favourites so far, they seem the most down to Earth. Very surprised to see Ollie's date being a woman though!
May 9, 201114 yr Virtually all of my friends were posting about it on Facebook tonight and not one of them liked it. It's safe to say I won't be watching this mess.
May 9, 201114 yr Virtually all of my friends were posting about it on Facebook tonight and not one of them liked it. It's safe to say I won't be watching this mess. Same. No one seems to have liked it on facebook and they love towie so I doubt I'll be watching. I saw the advert and just thought they were all a bit too posh. I prefer a bit of riff raff
May 10, 201114 yr Awful. I think it's relatability - no-one can relate to ridiculously posh toffs who have loads of money, with their fancy lifestyles. And it wasn't funny in the slightest, very dull and dreary. It's why TOWIE is such a success imo, because people could at least slightly relate to it and it was nearly always funny.
May 16, 201114 yr How exactly do you "relate" to the cast of TOWIE? Vejazzling, slang, no-one working and making a living out of "hosting" and "appearing"?! Both 'Made in Chelsea' and 'TOWIE' are full of well off people, it's just they've grown up in different bubbles and garnered their wealth in different manners. It's the fact they're unrelatable that we watch in the first place. These different quirks of lifestyle, humour and hobbies that none of us ever partake in or know of. It's what draws viewers in. MIC is more of an ironic LOL compared to TOWIE which is more ROFLOL (based on the first episode anyway). Furthermore: How is that arrogant model a model in the first place? Horrible face
May 17, 201114 yr I'm watching the first ep right now and its already 100x better than TOWIE, I think they are much more relatable than the TOWIE cast. Although they are essentially snobby douches. A few thoughts: I think its a lot less staged than TOWIE The Caggie/Spencer storyline is not interesting at all Amber is a dickhead That model looks like Sasquatch from X men ROFL at Ollie's date being a women, pffft yeah righttt
June 13, 201114 yr I am in love with Made In Chelsea at the moment, it has got so much better. I love Funda and her garden party entrance tonight.
June 13, 201114 yr I really enjoy this programme far more than I should! Tonight was such a good episode, I used to like Foondarr, but she was horrible to Queen of Hearts Caggie tonight who did nothing!
June 14, 201114 yr This is a BEAUTIFUL THING. I doubt it'll get a second series but let the VAPID KEEP ROLLING ON BY Mark-Francis is a man LOST IN THE MODERN WORLD
June 23, 201114 yr It's been confirmed for a second series, to be screened later this year! :cheer: Source.
September 11, 201113 yr It's been confirmed for a second series, to be screened later this year! :cheer: Source. Second series starts on Monday 19th September :w00t: I have to admit, I loved the first series
September 11, 201113 yr Weird that they're scheduling it for a similar time as TOWIE. I admit, I do like this, but it's nowhere near TOWIE in terms of greatness.
September 11, 201113 yr It and TOWIE are both great but for different reasons I'd say. Excited to see this return!
September 11, 201113 yr It and TOWIE are both great but for different reasons I'd say. Excited to see this return! I agree, even though they are the same format, I think the shows are rather different. They are both great
September 20, 201113 yr Did anyone else catch the first episode then? I thought it was alright - Jamie already incredibly annoys me, and Chloe seems a bit stuck-up too. Since when did Spencer get so fit though?! :o I'm looking forward to Caggie most though - it seemed wrong without her.
September 20, 201113 yr Yeah, it was an alright episode, not much happened though. Missing Caggie and Queen Funda.
April 3, 201213 yr This show is still so amazing. I'm glad they've been given a third series after it originally looked like it wouldn't get a second! My opinion of Caggie has completely changed now, after loving her in the Christmas episode - her and Spencer were made for each other  Jamie's trip to church was hilarious - I didn't see a lot of the last season, but I'd definitely say he's up there with my favourite characters, if only for the quotes that he comes out with!
