A short but sweet 6 weeks charting for this #3 single by Calvin Harris. However this isn't the shortest length of time spent in my chart by a Top 3 single. That dubious honour goes to Leona Lewis with the very recently released 'Hurt' - just two weeks. 93. This #6 peaking single by Wynter Gordon managed to spend a relatively lengthy 14 weeks on my chart - but 12 of those weeks were outside of the Top 20, stunting its progress when it comes to overall points. I still find it a shame that 'Dirty Talk' only reached #25 in the UK! 94. Black Eyed Peas' debut entry on my chart was 2005's 'Don't Phunk With My Heart', a #4 hit. They've rarely missed my Top 10 since, but this single is one of the occasions they couldn't attain a Top 10 peak. 95. Moment 4 Life' was Nicki Minaj's break-through hit as a lead artist. The success of this single prompted me to enter two of her previous releases that initially failed to chart - 'Your Love' reached #30, while 'Right Thru Me' made it to #20. Follow up single 'Girls Fall Like Dominoes' reached #9, but hasn't made my year-end Top 100; it's placed at #118. 96. JLS' featuring credit on The X Factor Finalists charity single 'Wishing On A Star' only reached #16 recently, so that technically ruins their streak of Top 10s. However all of their "main" releases have made my Top 10 to date. I prefer JLS when they're in uptempo mode, but 'Take A Chance On Me' did manage to peak at #7, despite a shaky start. 97. Here's the first of four Jessie J singles that have made my Top 100 - her most recent single 'Who You Are'! Her singles still to come are 'Do It Like A Dude', 'Price Tag' & 'Nobody's Perfect'. She had three other singles reach my personal Top 40 this year, including 'Domino', but none came close to my year-end Top 100. However, I will predict that 'Domino' will feature in my Top 100 for 2012. 98. Another Top 20 hit for Jason Derülo. Out of his releases only 'The Sky's The Limit' missed out, reaching a lowly #36. 99. This proved to be Diddy's most successful single on my chart since 'Last Night' with Keyshia Cole, which peaked at #10 in 2007. 100. This is notably Pixie Lott's first single to miss my personal Top 10. However, its overall chart performance is just good enough for it to squeeze in at #100. It's the first of five singles to feature in this list that missed my Top 10.

Ke$ha's first single to miss the Top 20 in the UK, but it was a sure fire Top 5 hit for me! 83. Snoop Dogg vs. David Guetta - 'Sweat' reached its peak of #10 late into its chart run, zooming up from outside of the Top 20, and then falling straight back out again! I obviously like this song for it to be in my countdown, but I'm quite surprised by how huge it was in the UK charts (over half a million sold!). 84. This single matched the #4 peak of 'Collide', Avicii's controversial collaboration with Leona Lewis. 'Levels' peaked lower than its twin song 'Good Feeling' by Flo Rida, which also uses the same sample present here. 85. When I first bought the 'Pink Friday' album back in February, this fast became one of my favourite tracks. By the time it became a single I was ever so slightly bored of it, but nevertheless it duly became another Top 10 for both Nicki Minaj & Rihanna. 86. Unfortunately this Britney Spears single did nothing in the UK, and it's actually her worst performing single on my chart too! 'Criminal' is generally a huge fan favourite, but it's never been one of my personal 'Femme Fatale' highlights. Excellent music video though! 87. Lana Del Rey seems set to be one of 2012's biggest stars, if this song is anything to go by! 'Born To Die' is scheduled for late January 2012, but has performed excellently on my chart well in advance of release. It's already done better than her debut 'Video Games' - 112th on my YTD. 88. Here's the first 2010 release that makes it into my Top 100 countdown. 'Lights On' was released at the very end of 2010, in fact it's only the first week position that fell in 2010. Its subsequent chart run is enough for Katy B to come in 88th. Further releases 'Broken Record' and 'Easy Please Me' place in my Top 150 of the year. 89. This Jessie J single probably wouldn't have done as well as this, had there not been a much improved single version. I find the album version grating for some reason. 90. The sixth single from Katy Perry's album 'Teenage Dream' (which previously spawned three #1s, a #2 and a #3) didn't quite have the strength to make it into my Top 10. It does end up being the year's best performing non-Top 10 single though!

Missing out on my Top 10 of the year is the lead single from The Saturdays' latest album 'On Your Radar'. 'Notorious' was yet another #1 single for The Saturdays on my chart. 12. Nicki Minaj's 'Super Bass' is the highest placed non-#1 single in my EOY! This single initially only had a peak of #6, before rocketing back up my chart to claim an eventual peak of #2. 13. This isn't one of Lady Gaga's most successful singles in terms of chart & sales success worldwide, unfortunately. I'm not sure why it didn't catch on properly... I definitely think 'Judas' is one of her finest moments! 14. Already a huge hit on my chart towards the end of 2010, Rihanna's 'What's My Name?' held up strongly in 2011 to wind up as my 14th biggest single of the year. 15. Despite only 12 weeks in my Top 40 overall, the 4 weeks that The Wanted spent locked at #2 ensured that 'Lightning' ended in my Top 15 of the year! 16. Lady Gaga has achieved 7 #1 singles on my chart - but 'Born This Way' wasn't one of them, just missing out at #2! The single that denied this the #1 spot was Adele's 'Someone Like You'. 17. This was quite the flop on the UK charts, with a peak of #15 and just 4 weeks spent in the Top 200. It was a different story with me, as this became The Saturdays' 10th chart topper out of 12 singles! 18. 'What Do You Take Me For?' became Pixie Lott's worst performing single on my chart - and it followed directly after what was her biggest hit so far with me. 'All About Tonight' reached #2, and just like Melanie C was only prevented from #1 by The Saturdays' 'All Fired Up'. 19. The first of the 500 point scoring singles comes from Beyoncé, with 'Best Thing I Never Had'. The main reason this single made it to #1 on my chart was due to her triumphant & incredible set at Glastonbury! 20. I assume poor Melanie C won't feature on many EOY personal charts, but she's made my Top 20 with 'Think About It'! Criminally under-rated, this single is my favourite Melanie release since 2000's 'I Turn To You'. This was held off my personal #1 twice - on the first occasion by The Wanted's 'Glad You Came', and later by The Saturdays' 'All Fired Up'.

Its swift drop out of my chart after 8 weeks in the Top 10 hindered this single in terms of overall points, but as many as 5 re-entries has increased its Top 40 weeks to 20. 09. Lady Gaga - The Edge Of Glory [651pts] [#1, 21 weeks \| 15.05.2011 \| 01-04-03-07-07-07-04-05-02-07-08-10-16-19-27-27-33-40-40-xx-31-xx-26] Lady Gaga's highest placed single is the truly wonderful 'The Edge Of Glory'. It's still a shame that one of her greatest singles has a poor music video, which possibly went against this single getting a Top 5 peak in the UK. While she has four songs rank between 9th and 21st in my EOY, she did have one slight misfire in 2011. 4th single 'Yoü and I' peaked at #7 and scored just 147 points, ranking it outside my Top 100 of the year at #107. 08. Nicole Scherzinger - Don't Hold Your Breath [684pts] [#1, 18 weeks \| 23.01.2011 \| 05-08-14-10-16-12-11-03-02-01-02-06-08-10-12-18-24-36-xx] Perhaps surprisingly, Nicole Scherzinger ranks higher than any Lady Gaga or Adele single here, with her early 2011 smash 'Don't Hold Your Breath'. This single dipped as low as #16 before it reversed its decline, going on to peak at #1 in its 10th week. All of her proceeding singles have achieved Top 5 peaks, though her latest single 'Try With Me', a recent #5 hit, is only 129th in my EOY due to a short 5 week stay in my Top 40. 07. Britney Spears - Till The World Ends [707pts] [#1, 17 weeks \| 06.03.2011 \| 01-01-04-09-10-02-03-01-02-08-16-26-30-34-xx-33-37-xx-40] Britney Spears' second 2011 release was another big hit in the US, but under-performed in the UK - its #21 peak was only the second time she'd missed the UK Top 20, at that point. This #21 position would go on to look like a huge smash relative to the shocking #111 peak later achieved by 'I Wanna Go'. Regardless, I think this single is one of Britney's most outstanding. A remix featuring Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj boosted this single back up my chart to claim a third week on top, after dipping as low as #10. 06. Britney Spears - Hold It Against Me [727pts] [#1, 20 weeks \| 16.01.2011 \| 01-01-01-03-05-05-03-06-06-08-18-14-15-20-22-24-32-38-xx-39-xx-36] More Britney Spears! This was in my Top 5 YTD all year, but fell out in the final week. To date this is Britney's final Top 10 hit in the UK, achieving a respectable #6 position with an OA/OS release strategy. Unfortunately by the time the music video debuted, the single was beyond saving, having dipped to the bottom of the Top 40.

The Wanted - Glad You Came [738pts] [#1, 20 weeks \| 05.06.2011 \| 03-06-09-12-13-04-01-01-02-03-05-08-12-20-19-22-35-39-xx-35-xx-16] By the time The Wanted released this single, they'd already established themselves as the biggest boy band in my chart history. 'All Time Low' entering at #1 was enough for this, given that no other boy band had scored a #1 previously. Follow ups 'Heart Vacancy' and 'Lose My Mind' had middling success (#9 and #7 respectively) before 'Gold Forever' became their 2nd #1 - but with a fairly brief Top 40 run. It's 'Glad You Came' that became their first truly big hit with me though, and that's evident by being #5 in my EOY! My favourite early summer smash stayed at #1 for 2 weeks. Its re-entry at #16 this week is what pushes it above Britney Spears. 04. Rihanna - S&M [741pts] [#1, 20 weeks \| 06.02.2011 \| 01-01-04-02-04-04-05-04-09-11-05-04-03-11-21-29-31-35-xx-37] 'S&M' is the third single from 'Loud' and entered straight in at #1, unlike 'Only Girl (In The World)' and 'What's My Name?' which both entered at #2 before climbing to #1. A remixed version with Britney Spears gave this single a further three weeks in the Top 5 in the middle of its chart run. 03. Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull - On The Floor [880pts] [#1, 24 weeks \| 23.01.2011 \| 07-10-18-24-37-xx-03-05-06-06-01-01-02-03-01-04-07-13-17-25-28-33-40-xx-39-xx-17] Jennifer's huge return to the charts in 2011 with 'On The Floor' also provided her with a massive hit on my chart. This was her first #1 single, having previously scored two #2 hits with 'Get Right' and 'Control Myself'. 'On The Floor' was leading the way as my favourite song of 2011 for many months until it was pipped to the post towards the end of the year. 24 weeks in my Top 40 makes it the longest running chart run of the year. 02. The Saturdays - All Fired Up [1004pts] [#1, 22 weeks \| 24.07.2011 \| 04-01-02-01-02-01-01-01-01-05-10-15-15-25-32-38-xx-34-40-16-32-38-19] After the first play of this single, I was disappointed - I found it to be a forgettable mess of a song. After a couple of plays I started to warm to it, but it still took about a week for the song to properly work its magic on me! After a relatively poor start for the girls (entry at #4 ) 'All Fired Up' ended up climbing to #1 and went on to spend 6 non-consecutive weeks on top - longer than any of their previous singles. What a turn around from an initial poor reaction!

Calvin Harris - We Found Love [1250pts] [#1, 15 weeks \| 25.09.2011 \| 01-01-01-03-01-01-01-01-01-01-02-02-06-04-02] So here it is, my favourite song of the year: 'We Found Love' by Rihanna! Unlike with The Saturdays, this song was incredibly instant for me - I loved it from the first play, and for quite a while I didn't feel like playing anything else. 9 weeks at #1 is the fourth longest run at #1 in the history of my chart. In fact the last single to spend so long at #1 was also by Rihanna - 'Umbrella' stayed at #1 for 11 weeks in 2007. 'We Found Love' is indeed my 2nd favourite Rihanna song behind 'Umbrella'. This is by far Calvin Harris' biggest hit to date. Prior to this, Calvin's biggest success was the #2 hit 'I'm Not Alone' in 2009, a peak which was equaled by 'Bounce' with Kelis earlier this year. Rihanna is one of my favourite artists of all time, and she's certainly my favourite of 2011 - 'Loud' and 'Talk That Talk' are two of my favourite albums of the year - so it's very fitting that one of her singles is my favourite of 2011.

To be honest, if this thread wasn't based on points and I'd just gone on what I felt my preference was, 'Notorious' probably would have been one I'd chosen for my Top 10!
