This is my (simple) national thread. Well obviously my first entry was a HUGE succes. I've already decided on the new entry so I'm hoping for a better result this time and got my fingers crossed!

See you in Botanikka.

You could feel "proper indie" anyway. :P I liked your latest entry and would've voted for it, so I don't think your DNQs are about quality, it's just your taste is too different.
Absolutely. I'd love one of your entries to qualify but unfortunately they're just not likely to appeal to the majority of voters. Which is sad as they've both been beautiful songs. :(

Thanks guys. I do want to send songs that I really love, whether or not they qualify doesn't even really matter to me.

Good luck to both of you in the finals.

Updated my national thread after our unexpected positive result this month. As a result I even made a very simple flag and made up a little history for the country.

We are very excited to announce our new entry has been determined. If everything goes according to plan we will be represented by an Eastern artist.

Another flop this time 'round. Our man Asaf Avidan couldn't convince everyone in Kine tonight. We finished 19th out of 25 countries.

It's OK, I already have a new entry ready (as I usually have halfway through the contest) and I'm more confident. It's dance and extremely laid back.

Thanks, the comments are always appreciated :D. Good to see you both made it through as I liked both of your entries.

(On a side note -- I've found a better quality of 'Linda Ronstadt - Heart Like a Wheel' so I've changed the link. It was posted in 2008 but I guess I didn't see it at the time of the contest 'cause it was titled ''Heart Is Like a Wheel''.)

Your song was amazing.

Another undeserved DNQ for you. :(

When the results were being announced here in Elëdan, the public went all booing the shit out of themselves after the news about Lake Thermwoods not qualifying. SUCH FARCE DAMNIT.

I'm liking all the positive reactions. Although if it makes you (Pavel) feel any better this is all your fault :D A chris152 or a zechhh (one of the few who generally seems to like my entries) in my semi-final could've saved me. I needed more convenient randomization .

Btw Pavel, I didn't expect (m)any points from you, I think this is the first time you've voted for one of my entries.

A new update from me after nearly three months :

- Last contest Lake Thermwoods saw its second qualification with the (relative) succes of Maria Mena - Habits.

- Our new flop is a (modern) country song by singer Josh Turner with Iris DeMent on harmony vocal and Marty Stuart playing the mandolin. His deep barritone voice has been likened to Johnny Cash. The song is called 'Pallbearer' and has been one of my favorites for a while now.

BTW : thanks to Leww for the flag update! It looks much better this way.
