Christ....it looks incredible. It looks like they've stepped it up a notch this year.

Storm of Swords is easily the best book in the series...there are just so many amazing moments. The scene with Dany in Astapor looks like it's going to be perfect.

Ridiculously excited for this coming back, my absolute favourite show of recent years. May have to have a GOT marathon over the weekend in anticipation. *.*

I've started watching Season 2 again in anticipation and my GOD i forgot how incredible it is. The first episode (with Cersei slapping Joffrey in particular) just blew me away all over again!

I've already watched the final 3 episodes again in preparation and they remain among the 3 best episodes of anything I have ever watched.

Garden Of Bones (Season 2, episode 4) is RELENTLESS. Joffrey is the most despicable he's ever been (which is saying something), and just when you think it can't get any better there's THAT ending where Melisandre (the weird dragon/fire woman) gives birth to that smoke creature thing and it just ends!

Probably my favourite episode of the entire series!!

(Should probably go in the Season 2 thread, but building anticipation so WOO).

Bought the boxset out of curiosity and I haven't been able to stop watching. Finished the two seasons in just over a week. Are the books as good as people say they are?

They're meant to be excellent. The HBO show is supposed to be as near enough a like-for-like representation for the books as humanly possible. Most fans expect the show to finish before the books however, so I guess there's a downside.

First ep was pretty good. As expected it resets the scene and establishes the show right from where season 2 finished. Can't wait to see the several plot threads link into one another.

Freaky little girl who tried to kill Khaleesi was awesome laugh.gif

The first episode was quite slow but I felt it worked a lot better than the season 2 opener which was a bit of a mess.

I loved it. Was the right pace after such a long break. It re-introduced most of the major players and sets things up nicely. Best thing on TV currently!
