September 24, 201311 yr It's funny how pretty much everyone who's preordering Living For The Weekend in Malta is also buying Chasing Lights: Album: Living For the Weekend #44 Armenia #124 Malta #371 United Kingdom Album: Chasing Lights #147 Malta It's a shame the people in the UK very rarely get interested in their previous material. People who bought What About Us didn't get 30 Days or On Your Radar... Edited September 24, 201311 yr by The47thbelmon
September 24, 201311 yr On Your Radar was lurking in the low top 1500 when WAU was out, higher than it would've been before, so it did give it a bit of a boost.
September 24, 201311 yr Once the Album and Single are out, their other singles and albums will climb again. :)
September 24, 201311 yr Oh woah, the album just had a big boost in the UK and (specially) Ireland. Why? Album: Living For the Weekend #44 Armenia #128 Ireland #141 Malta #293 United Kingdom
September 24, 201311 yr Maybe because the R1 playlisting has kicked in? I don't know really but that's the only thing I could think of
September 24, 201311 yr Maybe because the R1 playlisting has kicked in? I don't know really but that's the only thing I could think of I think it's a combination of everything Capital had the 'Love Comes Down' B Side as an exclusive on there website and they mentioned it on the radio and on there Twitter. The fact people can hear the tracks and I guess word of mouth /social media with people liking the previews etc... I hope it continues to increase, I wouldn't mind Disco Love just scraping the top 10 and then the album having decent sales and chart at least top 5. I honestly don't think the album will do that well tbh, it's not doing brilliantly pre-order wise, Amazon has fallen to #587.
September 24, 201311 yr Author They would need at least 10,000 sales to chart within the top 10, I'm fully expecting top 5, anything other than that would be quite a disaster.
September 24, 201311 yr Yes but the top 6 sales have been growing a bit. For example, two weeks ago, you only needed to sell 10k to be in the top 6. Last week, it was 16k. That's already +6k. It should keep becoming harder to be top 5 by the time the album is released as the sales will keep growing until the release (3 weeks left afterall).
September 24, 201311 yr Author They really should have been promoting at radio stations this week, I don't understand why they were not visiting stations such as Capital, Radio1 etc, it's a clear advantage having 5 members, what's to stop sending one/two members to each station? I'm not fully sure on how this campaign is going to do, I think it should outperform ' On Your Radar ' but if two of the singles have struggled to sell 65,000 what makes you think that ' Living For The Weekend ' will pass 70,000? Hopefully ' Living For The Weekend ' manages to enter the top 200 on iTunes next week and remains stable until the release week. 290. The Saturdays - Living For The Weekend 470. The Saturdays - Disco Love 523. The Saturdays Feat Sean Paul - What About Us
September 24, 201311 yr Disco Love #299 Ireland What About Us #233 Ireland Album: Living For the Weekend #153 Ireland #286 United Kingdom In my predictions Living For The Weekend will definitely open bigger than On Your Radar, which will encourage them to release at least another single, which will keep the sales stable. Disco Love should do better than My Heart Takes Over. Both the album and the single have got a few pre-orders already, and the airplay should increase from this week on. The funny thing about airplay is that if we check this chart http://comparemyradio.com/artists/The_Saturdays/tracks What About Us is getting the same plays as Disco Love, which sucks for the latter, but in the end, radios are playing two singles of the same album, so they are serving its purpose.
September 24, 201311 yr I expect a much bigger opening week for this album as well!
