Posted June 8, 201411 yr http://imageshack.com/a/img834/9720/te20.png (also shit graphic AHOY!) Hello hunties, We'd like to kick this summer season off with the third Melodifestivalen-type spin-off! This is only the Green Room thread, as we have yet to confirm the format and dates for this, but it will be up and running within the next week so gird your loins and start looking for a song! Now, before we get into the nitty gritty shitty stuff, we had planned for this to be a standalone contest and we didn't want it to take place alongside a regular contest, but due to various delays in the main contests throughout the beginning of this year, we have to run it alongside 65. We'll organize the dates for each stage in a way that won't take away from Rich's hosting of the main contest, so you'll be able to take part in both contests without any hassle. Buzzfest will be a series of exciting things happening this summer - other projects include the CRC, the changes that will be implemented thanks to all of your feedback (yes, we've sifted through it all, we just need to find time to discuss how to implement some things), and some other things that are in the pipeline. All the things! :o Anywhore, for those of you who don't know what all of this is, it's a competition based on the same format used in Melodifestivalen and it will tour the following four wonderful nations of Ashton, Espen, Daehun, and Bignia-Zaragovina. Each host will present a heat, from which the two songs with the most points will go direkt til finalen in a yet-to-be-confirmed nation and a further two from each heat will make it to Andra Chansen ('Second Chance') that will be held in an undisclosed location in another yet-to-be-confirmed nation. Obvs this is all subject to change until we confirm a format but that's the general idea. More information will be given when confirmations open. Before confirmations open some time next week, here are some little rules in addition to the normal BJSC rules: - Songs must be a maximum of 3 minutes in length. They can be shorter if you wish, but not a second over 3:00. The video can be longer than 3 minutes, as long as the song itself is 3:00 or shorter. You can also enter a song longer than 3 minutes if YOU are willing to edit it down for the purposes of the competition. If there is any doubt then PM either myself, Yu, Silas or Jahq. - No Eurovision or Junior Eurovision songs are allowed, nor are any songs that have competed in national finals for either of these competitions. Of course Eurovision artists are allowed, but not with the song(s) they entered with. All OK? Yay! Go find a song!
June 8, 201411 yr Isn't 'Buzzfestivalen' a Eurovision forum thing? I have nothing to send due to not knowing this was happening. I'll probably find something. Might just send James Blake again (and every year until you people APPRECIATE him).
June 8, 201411 yr I know which song I'm sending already! Same! Was going to send it to the main contest at some point but it helps not having to try and find a song under 3 minutes. ^_^
June 8, 201411 yr Figured out what song to enter! The track I'll be entering is just over 3 minutes but with the wonders of Audacity I'll edit it to 2:40-ish. Edited June 8, 201411 yr by M≙th.
June 8, 201411 yr I'll be sending one of my absolute favourite songs of the past 12 months (to watch it flop on its arse)
June 8, 201411 yr Currently have two potentials, thinking of sending the one that will piss Bray off intensely :D
June 8, 201411 yr One of my potentials might be considered cheap for regular BJSC so hoping it'll be good for this one yassss~
June 8, 201411 yr Coming for back to back BJFest wins. (In reality, I have nothing to send, let alone a winner)
June 8, 201411 yr I'll be sending one of my absolute favourite songs of the past 12 months (to watch it flop on its arse) If it's the one I introduced you too then hands off! [/nukellysweet]
June 8, 201411 yr So this is the same as bjsc but with songs under 3 minutes? It's based on the WONDEROUS Melodifestivalen.
