July 30, 20179 yr Author Okay #60-#31 coming tomorrow on Plug 8:30pm if people can do then? don't want it to just be us hosts there!!
July 31, 20179 yr Author So?! Can anyone come later? Pre show will probs start at 8:30 with the first part of results starting between 8:30-9:30
July 31, 20179 yr Author 60. Roxette - It Must Have Been Love (Pretty Woman) Points: 56 Highest Pointer: Regina Chart-Run: 26-58-60 So Roxette kick us off in last place who for the 2nd year in a row finish in the bottom three in the final!
July 31, 20179 yr Author 59. Kristen Bell ft Idina Menzel - For The First Time In Forever (Frozen) (Original Version) Points: 61 Highest Pointer: Ultraviolence Chart-Run: 77-61-59 I was really impressed when I saw this make the final originally as I never thought any frozen songs bar LIG were ever in the top 100 but it turns out this was one place away from qualifying last year :o Anyway FTFTIF continues its upwards trajectory and despite making the final, it only finishes a couple of places higher than when it missed.
July 31, 20179 yr Author 58. Irene Cara - Fame (Fame) Points: 62 Highest Pointer: Hide & Seek Chart-Run: 59-86-58 Also marginally reaching a new peak is Fame, which does one better than the last time it was in the final. This feels like a song that should do better than it actually does here
July 31, 20179 yr Author 57. Randy Newman - You Got a Friend in Me (Toy Story) Points: 65 Highest Pointer: Chez & TroyTempest Chart-Run: 25-62-57 After just missing the final last year, YGAFIM re-enters but fails to match the success of its previous final attempt
July 31, 20179 yr Author 56. Prince - Purple Rain (Purple Rain) Points: 72 Highest Pointer: Dircadirca Chart-Run: 56 Was legit expecting this to be a top 10 contender so shocked at this. Out of all the random older songs in the final this year that are new entries, I would've never predicted this to be last out of all of them :o
July 31, 20179 yr Author 55. John Travolta ft. Olivia Newton John – Summer Nights (Grease) Points: 74 Highest Pointer: Mack Chart-Run: 73-55 Summer Nights makes it final debut but it isn't the top Grease song here!
July 31, 20179 yr Author 54. Dexys Midnight Runner - Come On Eileen (Get Him To The Greek) Points: 77 Highest Pointer: Dircadirca Chart-Run: 65-109-54 Shame this couldn't continue to fall downwards but instead it stayed to infect the final. At least it didn't get very far here
July 31, 20179 yr Author 53. Ray Parker Jr – Ghostbusters (Ghostbusters) Points: 78 Highest Pointer: Mack Chart-Run: 63-88-53 And cos there's like 2 of us on Plug we didn't need to listen to that crap so onwards to the next one real quick Another new song making the final and another one which should've stayed gone
July 31, 20179 yr Author 52. Pet Shop Boys - Always On My Mind (It Couldn't Happen Here) Points: 78 (More high scores) Highest Pointer: King Rollo Chart-Run: 52 Another new song in this section!
July 31, 20179 yr Author 51. Paul McCartney and Wings – Live & Let Die (Live & Let Die) Points: 79 (Less high scores) Highest Pointer: TroyTempest Chart-Run: 42-106-51 This rebounds from last years disasterous showing but can't reach a new peak
July 31, 20179 yr Author 50. John Travolta ft. Olivia Newton-John - You're The One That I Want (Grease) Points: 79 (More high scores) Highest Pointer: Cameron Chart-Run: 30-43-50 Finally a good song *.* However unlike Summer Nights, this continues its trend of falling every year and was actually bottom two until the final vote.
July 31, 20179 yr Author 49. Queen - Who Wants To Live Forever (Highlander) Points: 80 Highest Pointer: King Rollo Chart-Run: 49 Another new entry as Queen's best song goes straight in at 49!
July 31, 20179 yr Author 48. Dido - Here With Me (Love Actually) Points: 87 Highest Pointer: King Rollo & Riser Chart-Run: 34-57-48 This continues to jump around the lower half of the final for another year
