Deeper shade of blue is a real solid steps song that I still enjoy a lot, not their best song for me but a very very good one.

#4 One for sorrow |6-9-4-| Climbing back inside my top 5 (with a new peak as well) is the iconic One for sorrow. With this release I became an official Steps fan The Abba-vibe really works with this one and the video is cute as well. Nothing but love for this song! Your thoughts? #3 Love’s got a hold on my heart |7-3-3-| This song gets different reactions but I still adore this one! Such an uplifting and summery song! The video is camp as t!ts but that’s the reason why I actually enjoy it. Should’ve been a bigger international hit if you ask me! And..those yellow outfits. So wrong yet so iconic Your thoughts? |

If it did it would only barely make it but could also easily miss out.
I don't hate it I just think they have so many other stronger songs. |

#2 Last thing on my mind |23-13-2-| This song is, for me, the biggest surprise in my countdown. It started at #23 and climbed 21 places the last 2 years. Why? I was a bit bored by it when I begin this countdown. Then I got back to it and realized this was a Steps classic for so many reasons! They proved to be more then a novelty act, it was a nice hit here in the Netherlands and they proved they could make a song their own. And no, my avatar got nothing to do with it Your thoughts? #1 Something in your eyes |4-5-1-| Another year, another #1! I could easily swap my top 5 (depending on the day) but this one came out on top in the end. Such a classic from their new material! I think this could’ve been another big hit for them if it was released back then. Still, single succes isn’t the focus and I’m so grateful that we got a lot of new material since their comeback. This is such an uplifting song with a simple though effective video. Nothing but love for this track Your thoughts? |

Big turnaround for last thing on my mind in your chart, serious turnaround but its a song i like alot, i always think of last thing on my mind was the song that signaled steps are here for the 3album and a greatest hits haul ( which was the standard for boy/girl/mixed bands back in the day)
Before its release they def were seen as a 1 hit wonder with 5,6,7,8 and i think last thing on my mind was the perfect release for them at that time and got them their first top 10 hit. Something in your eyes i do like but not as much as others, its great but its more i prefer a nice few other songs more. |

Great choice for your current favourite song Such a great choice of song for them to cover. I didn't know the song prior to their version so it feels like an original to me anyway.
