Last year, Billboard ranked the Best LGBTQ Anthems of All Time as they counted down queer anthems that have defined pop music.

They ranked Gaga's 'Born This Way' as the #1 on the countdown, officially making it their definitive pride song. But do you agree with this decision and if not, what would you place as #1 instead?

Inspired by the empowering music of the ‘90s, Gaga told Billboard that she wanted to create a “freedom record” that didn’t beat around the bush: “I want to write my this-is-who-the-f–k-I-am anthem, but I don’t want it to be hidden in poetic wizardry and metaphors.” She followed through, with lyrics like, “No matter gay, straight or bi / Lesbian, transgendered life / I’m on the right track, baby / I was born to survive.” Fans responded positively, as the song debuted at No.1 on the Hot 100 and remained there for six weeks.

Here's the full top 65 (updated this year with a few newies): https://www.billboard.com/lists/lgbtq-anthe...er-pride-songs/

And the top 10 as originally posted last year:

1. Lady Gaga - Born This Way

2. Diana Ross - I’m Coming Out

3. Gloria Gaynor - I Will Survive

4. Madonna - Vogue

5. Cyndi Lauper - True Colors

6. k.d. lang - Constant Craving

For me personally in terms on impact on my life and my sexuality, it's a very very very easy YES and possibly for a generation as a whole but of all time... I would have to have a think...

Christina’s Beautiful is my personal choice but Born This Way is definitely up there. Born This Way also actually says gay in the song itself (and transgender) something which I can’t recall any other song doing what’s mentioned within pride anthem lists.

I’d go as far as to say Born This Way is probably the most impactful song of Gagas based on a what the song is actually about and how it’s potentially saved lives and encouraged people of any age, race, gender to live life authentically as they are so I’d definitely say that on a global scale it’s amongst the biggest pride anthems.

I agree, it supports the LGBTQ+ cause so literally AND was also a huge mainstream hit that it has to be up there. It's #1 for me, but I also love I Will Survive for its survival theme. They are both great and important songs but from different angles.

I think Vogue is a big challenger for me but on a personal level Papa Don't Preach is a huge song that helped me to come out to my parents. Born This Way is the ultimate but the latter gave me the final push to do it.

It is 100% She really said LGBTQ rights rather than chase hits with album 2

And I love how tonnes of her music was played on the recent I Kissed A Boy series even album tracks like Boys Boys Boys, and Fashion! from ARTPOP
