Absolutely love this horse race. Its the only event I bet on all year and its always £10 on the head.

 

Last year I nearly missed it and placed my bet as usual. Last year I didnt go for the favourite (hedgehunter) as I normally do and went for a horse slightly lower (3-4) and in the final straight hedgehunter beat my horse ^_^

 

Anyhow do you bet on the grand national as a yearly tradition, maybe a sweep stake at work? Im going to place my bet as always just before the race. I cant decide whether to back hedgehunter (the favourite) like I always do (apart from last year) or something less backed ! Choices choices but well looking forward to this :D

Clan Royal was mine last year :angry: I was so close to winning it as well.

 

This year I've bet on Innox and Le Duc.

infact I think I was also Clan Royal.... the horse just lost if i remember. I had a choice between one horse and hedgehunter and I cose the other horse and only just lost !!

Does anyoneone want to pick a number in the Grand National sweep, over in the Lounge? Massive prizes for the winner, well no prizes really, but it is a bit of fun and there are quite a few numbers available.
