apologies for the downtime - sincerely. I know how much work goes into the chart show thread and how much enthusasm there is in the community. We have been seeing significant traffic from bots lately. Some for example for GPT are AI models scraping the site for use in ChatGPT, others are used for training. We want BuzzJack to be found in these models but want to manage how often they access the site so a system to throttle access was setup and the results of any temporary ban logged to a file. These files become so big (over 85%) of one drive partition that it stopped our cache layer working correctly. Cache not working well = requests taking longer to complete and we were overwhelmed and stopped being able to serve requests. We were using the default settings for requests (workers) - these have been doubled to match our server specs The proliferation of large log files has now been capped so we wont see this again Monitoring setup to send emails when we reach 70% disk utilisation Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!

looking at options here - you might not know this... or it might be a wild guess, but... what would you estimate our IG embedding would be on a day or average week?

I think as the site has evolved both are used 😁😁

sorry not good news here :( Meta require business verification to use embedding - potentially 100's of $, going to review again early next year to see what options we have. If none then looks like we might need to pay if its a show stopper for people

going to upgrade the forum version in the next couple of weeks and see if this helps. I suspect this is a socials limitation - some content although looks to be shareable is in fact not based on licensing

adjusted the ban filter again - also upgraded out CAPTCHA on the registration page. Are you still blocked? Im only seeing 2 IP's blocked now and these are got bots!!

How strange. Must be getting caught up in the banning. Going to relax rules

Should be fixed. Looks like your IP was banned with the setup we have to block bots. Will look to tweak

looks like they are having a good go and testing our server capacity On a serious note, ive setup a whole suite of ban filters so will see tomorrow how this evolves!

sorry guys, should be fixed. We were spammed by a multitude of bots all at the same time which filled up our log files and disk space. This meant the cache with shows the streams didnt work. Deleted logs. Blocked spammers. Updated log rotation to avoid them getting too huge!
