Offended that West Ham are not on the favourites list laugh.gif

Seriously though, this is a competition that really heats up during the knockout rounds. The Group Stage is just a money spinner for smaller leagues and prestige everywhere else but England.

Second leg will be interesting. Astra offered little until they had a man advantage, but controlled thereafter. Talk of Slaven sending a second team over, as he's angry at refereeing standards or something! I think we'll go out probably.

Tbf, they weren't when I posted that laugh.gif

Seems like we threw the game last night. A team of youngsters and fringe players did well enough, but apart from Lanzini there was no quality there. Once Astra went 2-1 up, we really didn't look like scoring and there's been a strong backlash against Bilic in the media and online.

Would have been nice to have some glamour European ties to see off the Boleyn, but the whole Europa campaign has been turbulent to say the least laugh.gif

And out of the Europa League go Southampton with a 1-0 defeat to FC Midtylland and losing 2-1 on aggregate. Their disappointing season continues.

Rodgers inability to play Sakho will be his downfall. Our best CB by a mile, how he doesn't start is beyond me.

Tbf Sakho has been injured a fair bit, he started the injury with one. I also think he can only really replace Skrtel!

Disappointing? I didn't see the game but Monaco are the number two/three side in Ligue 1 so I don't consider a 1-1 draw away from home a bad result for Spurs.

Yeah Monaco are Champions League quality, which Spurs certainly aren't so it's a priceless point for them.

A disappointing defeat for Tottenham Hotspur against Anderlecht.

My mistake regarding Monaco. They are a very solid team indeed and quarter-finalists in last season's Champions League shows the quality
